Looks like you had a great day! We haven't been to St Maarten in quite a while. We are in the general area on Symphony in April, but our stops are St Kitts and St Thomas, no St Maarten. Guess I need to look into booking another cruise!   🚢

Hi Andrew    We are NCL cruisers from the East side of Hog Town and are loving the review. We missed St Maarten last year because of hurricane damage but will be going there in March on the Jade. Did you have to make prior reservations at the Holland House or just walk in off the street?     errrr beach.

You can walk in off the street. They have a bunch of loungers. And if by chance they are sold out there’s about 200,000 more right there.

Dinner at Chops.  Delicious, wide a waiter who was in point. It was actually quiet by Chops standards.  Maybe 2/3 full. I was 5/3 full when we departed. 

 

Goat at cheese salad for me and mushroom soup.

 

 

 

Lisa got the bacon stip and Caesar salad.

 

 

 

Surf and turf (6oz filet) for me along with shrooms and mashed potatoes.

 

 

 

 

Lisa had the 9oz filet. From this angle it looks sauce looks like a tail.

 

 

 

Desset.  Lisa had the cheese cake (no pic) and I had some sort of chocolate and peanut butter thing from 150CP. It came with a scoop of blackberry sorbet.

Have you ever received “one of those forks” at a meal?  My dessert weapon last night.  Front profile.

Thankfully Lisa let me use her fork as she used a spoon for her cheesecke. She still killed it.

 

 

I would say my plate truely looked like a crime scene because of the sorbet. It was delicious.

We ended up the Rising Tide Bar for the disco dance party. There was a small cover charge of approximately $25 a person if you have the alcohol drink package, more if you didn’t. There was maybe 20 on board, and it looked like there was room for 8 more. 

 

They provided snacks, drinks, flashing rings and departing gifts of shot glasses, hurricane glasses and the plastic glow cups. Not sure how we will fit in our luggage but it will work. 

 

It was was fun but for the fee it is not something we’d not do every time.  The RP is full of action for this anyhow so no matter where you are it is a blast.

As the dance party came to a conclusion the entertainer for the Schooner Bar appeared. He could see him the RTB and he looked interesting, worth checking out. 

 

We dragged our bag of loot from the party and settled down for a good time.  If you have twisted sense of humour Matt Yee is the man for you. Last night it was the Adult Diva, Showtunes and Boas. He is gearing up for next week.  We looked it up to discover it is chartered by Atlantis.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Audience participation with Matt. Lisa said he was very Boss, which made it hilarious.  If you are sensitive to risqué humour it might not be the show for you.
