I am beginning to think this is a marketing ploy - get us all so confused that to be on the safe side we all upgrade to premium 🤔

You can wait until you board to upgrade, if you want to see what is available in the Classic and what each drink you plan to order would cost as an upcharge.

I will probably only be having one baileys a day to upcharge so shouldn't cost too much lol

LOL, worth every penny!  I'm onboard the Infinity on Saturday. I will look at the prices and see what the difference is - I would bet that it isn't much. 🙂

On our cruise they were $10 so only a one dollar upcharge plus the 18%, so $1.18.

As to the smoothies, on the Equinox in November they had a selection of about three each day available for "FREE" at the Oceanview Cafe.  If you were entering the cafe on the starboard side they were on the first floating island.  The same one used for the salad bar at lunch.  The flavors seemed to change daily.  I had a blueberry one day and I also remember a guava-something too.  They were in juice glasses.

Yes that was also my experience on last cruises.

Not bad, although I question the efficiency and net result of this charge for Celebrity ; enter and print receipt for this small amount, have it signed, etc

I do not think passengers would be happy being charged without signing a receipt, but I agree that it would be more efficient.  Or Celebrity could add a surcharge for an added convenience fee to improve the cost effectiveness, but do not give them any ideas. Celebrity has to draw a line somewhere.😄

When  Princess first introduced their drink package they had to give them your card and sign a receipt for each included drink.  If you were getting a drink with a separate card, for someone else, you had to sign two receipts.  Thank goodness they fixed that problem.
