Can I transfer OBC?

 My husband and I are traveling in one cabin, my sister in another. We have enough onboard credit that we want to pay for her daily gratuities. Can I transfer OBC to her? Or can I make arrangements at guest services simply to take her gratuities out of my account?

2. Play some 

3. Cash out unused advance 

4. Redeposit to account (in this case, hers)

You cannot transfer OBC to the best of my knowledge.  However I have transferred the cost of a ship excursion from our DS to our account without any problem.  The gratuity is charged every day so I am not sure what they will say.  Go down to the PSD maybe the day after boarding (day of boarding is a madhouse down there) and talk to them to see what expenses you can transfer to your folio.

While on the subject of transferring OBC, can someone tell me if it is possible to transfer OBC from one cruise to another. I have too much OBC on one and not enough on another. Yes, I can ask Princess but would appreciate any knowledge from fellow cruisers.

I sincerely doubt that would be at all possible. Your OBC is linked to a specific voyage.

No. At the end of the cruise, refundable OBC is paid out (can get cash onboard if under $25 otherwise a check) nonrefundable expires

This is an interesting thought - I didn't know you could move OBC to gamble. It's a unique "work around" if we can't do it straight with Guest Services. Thanks, all.

There are other work arounds also. I think you are doing a Northern European cruise - maybe you can buy an excursion on your tab for your sister for around the same price as gratuities if they don't allow you to pay for her gratuities.

OBC is used for everything while you're on the ship with the exception of Future Cruise Deposits and if you want to gamble with cash in the casino.

If you are sailing on b2b's then the OBC carries over. In you are speaking about two separate non connected cruises, no. For non-refundable OBC it's use it or lose it. Any remaining refundable OBC is sent to you by check after the cruise has ended.
