Icon of the Seas Blocks Are In The House!

Recommended Posts

I am surprised they've teased with this - as an area it looks awful. I could have bought into a quiet infinity pool to relax and enjoy the aft view, but with the kids play area in the mix it's not anywhere I'd want to relax. And the view just won't be of interest to the kids. Plus the whole space looks oddly crowded even without people.

And if those are suites to either side, enjoy the screaming and splashing noises all day!

My guess is that all the aft suites will be marketed towards families, and the giant aft suite is probably the ultimate family suite. Because of this being the new family area, thats why they moved the non-family oriented suites to the front.

I do recall hearing that there are Ultimate Family Suites back there.

Agree. It looks as thought the Boardwalk area will truly be a family area on this class ship. I also agree that the suites or staterooms in this area will be geared more towards family. From the photos that I have seen it looks as though there will be a dedicated suites area located just behind the Aquadome. This is also Royal Caribbean and not Celebrity so one has to expect the major focus will be more towards family.

Has anyone actually said that this area looks fantastic 👍 yet…. ?
My initial thoughts are putting children near glass railings doesn’t seem too clever to me🤷‍♀️

Wonder if RCI are reading the room on this…

And what's the betting on those cabins/suites not actually having easy access to that area? I wouldn't be surprised if you'd need to walk a third of the way back up the ship to go down stairs and then back to the aft again 😄

There are crew and passenger stairways in these areas.

Royal’s professional designers have had 5 years to think through these concepts. Why don’t we all wait and see the rest of the reveal before judgement…

Agreed. RC is a family oriented cruise line and people are losing the plot when an area appears to be setup for kids. I’m sure they will unveil places for adults to hide.

Dislike too many of the things I see already......will not be my class of ship!😥

Looks like an overcrowded Oasis class - more cabins + less space and attractions....

Have you seen the whole ship already?
