Volcanic eruption Stromboli

Once took a ferry from Naples that dropped me off on the tiny pier of Ginostra. Spent 3 nights at a B&B there, with nothing else to do but read the first two Inspector Montalbano books translated to English, count donkeys, and hike up to see Stromboli faithfully spew a small geyser-like column every 20 mins or so like clockwork.

Amazing to see a full-blown eruption. Thanks for posting this!

Would Vesuvius be next??

There is no truth in the rumour that the Hawaiian authorities are putting into place Emergency plans for January 2020 🙂

But they have put Mauna Loa back on “active” status...

That is sad indeed.

Camilleri’s work is another example of “Things I learned on CruiseCritic”.

Thanks again to Lottie A for facilitating the introduction.
