Pub Lunch in the Wheelhouse Bar

Fish chips and mushy peas can be nice, other times awful. But then same for the steak and kidney pudding, one day it was near enough to empty.

We went the first few times it was offered but now we simply ignore it as it was not that good.  Much better fare in the MDR or HC/WFM.

Normally, they are in the patter, and we haven't seen it.   We are finishing a Med cruise, and will continue on the Trans-Atlantic back to Ft. Lauderdale.  So, it isn't a short cruise, a total of 25 days.  I asked at Guest Services, and there were 3 people there, and none of them knew anything about it.  I think I will check with the Maitre-D to find out if they will do it on the second leg of the trip.  Thanks for the input.

A thought. Princess' Med. supply depot ran out of Pub Lunch supplies.

I was on the Grand in May San Francisco to Alaska RT and I had the Pub Lunch and have done so on all of my Princess Cruises.

We were on the 3 night Star coastal cruise over the weekend and they offered the pub lunch on both full sea days. We opted to partake on just the first sea day.

We have see it...... what a queue.....

 

So gave it a miss..... we are happy with the food from the MDR and Crown Grill

Just off the Sapphire (Canary Islands) in October. We had 2 pub lunches with the 2nd being the longer menu with Indian dishes. Neither menu had the Ploughman's Lunch which is what I usually order. Neither also had Shrimp and Chips only Fish & Chips.

 

In February, we were on the Sun (New Zealand). They only had one Pub Lunch and it WAS NOT in the Patter. The only way we found it was that we had walked by the dining room and checked the lunch menu.....otherwise we would have missed it.

Maybe it's the Emerald as we were on her for a Med cruise in July and no Pub lunch.

we were on the Emerald aug 2018 and we had pub lunch..fish and chips..we are traveling on her again in 2020 to hawaii and hope they stil have it. also loved the afternoon tea...

Perhaps her head chef does not like pub lunches so took it off the menu.

This past summer I was on a seven day European cruise aboard the Emerald Princess. I too asked about the pub lunch and was told they never heard about it.

There was a pub lunch on a 3 night cruise on the Star recently.

I was just on the Star for a short 3 night cruise last weekend and they had Pub Lunch for both days at sea!  Poor Emerald Princess... haha
