Need Advice – Parking for Repositioning Cruise to Cape Liberty

Leaving from EWR to fly to San Juan & cruising back to Cape Liberty.

Any ideas of where to park in Newark or by the port or a hotel?  What makes the best sense?

Depending on where you're coming from, you could look at 2 one-way car rentals. It could end up being cheaper than parking at EWR.

You can park in the long term parking lot at EWR. Then after cruise uber back to EWR.

Lyft. Either Uber or Lyft are going to be a better value in much nicer cars than the local taxis which, in my opinion, are a bit of a mess. You could also use a car service but that would be needlessly more expensive for such a short ride.

We don't use Uber or Lyft.  So what else could we use.  Thanks for any info.

You could use a taxi, shuttle, or car service from the port-- they will all be slower and possibly more expensive. Uber and Lyft have pretty much gutted the local taxis there (not that they were much to write home about 10 years ago either). If you were ever going to give either of them a try this would be a great chance to do it.

We only have a flip phone between the two of us.  We are old school.  So I'll look into other options.

Your cruise may offer transfers to EWR on return which would be a stress-free way to get to the airport. Then find your way back to long term parking.

Earlier this month the taxi dispatcher at Cape Liberty was offering a shared ride transfer to EWR for $20/pp.
