Snap, we were on this cruise too. We had done a similar itinerary on our first cruise with P&O on Arcadia in 2010 but the weather over all was disappointing in 2018 . I remember the journey back to the UK when we lost an hour every day and that particular captain decided to lose it at night instead of the more usual midday when doing the transatlantic crossing. By the time we got back to Southampton we were jet lagged and so were a lot of the crew.

I much prefer losing the hour at midday (which we did on QM2) but my husband prefers losing the hour at night !! (He must be in the minority!)I particularly loved Quebec

We had a simple plan to walk the length of the beach to some buildings at the far end. After 15 minutes walking we were stopped by some fellow passengers who told us that they had the same plan but had been stopped and warned to go back the other way by a chap with a machete!

We turned straight around and ended up in this wonderful beach bar where we passed the time with beers, cocktails and fantastic tacos:
