Yes, she was. She was previously Star Princess I believe and only with P&O from 1997-2003, after that she went to Ocean Village until 2010. After that I don't know. Never went on Ocean Village but many did and loved the cruises on there.

Our first P&O cruise was on this ship. The only great thing about that ship was that my Mum came with us.

I thought it was a brand new ship and was disappointed to learn once on board it was old and formerly the Star Princess. What a cruise numpty back then!

That's the first time I've seen the old Arcadia,  she only looks to be as big as Adonia.

I reckon she was about the same size as Oriana, I never sailed on Adonia. This is her history https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MV_Columbus

I have sailed on her on several occasions when she was Ocean Village.

I never sailed on old Arcadia, but in the last couple of years I’ve done two cruises on her in her current livery of CMV Columbus. She still has a certain ‘P&O feel’ about her.

 

what happens to her next is anybody’s guess😔

There was so many ships that we tendered. It was quite good as they went right to the town which avoids the long trip round. As you can see it was a lovely day.
