Yeah ..... got one for SF California residents. Same price for the 5 day Getaway that I booked last week. Doesn't matter to me, after the kids FCC our mini-suite is only $1306. VERY reasonable as it's bonus FCC that would expire a month later anyway

We did in Texas.

Only covered Caribbean cruises including some this December which may or may not actually take place.

The "resident sale" would mean more to me if they still sailed out of the Port of Houston.

So, are these sales for specific residents just a gimmick?

Seems to be that way. The Nevada sale was for west coast sailing and the one I already had booked was the same price. But it never hurts to check so I posted this thread.

Got one for Arizona as well. Compared pricing to the two B2B cruises out of LA I've previously booked with my TA and they're much higher that what I already have. Oh well ...

A sale does not always mean it is better than last week's price.

For example, lets say apples are $1.49/pound normally at a grocery store.

Last week they were on sale for $.99/pound.

This week they are one sale for $1.29/pound.

Still a sale, just not as good as the previous week. Same with cruise sales.

Got it in Washington as well. It appears to me just another form of advertising but I did not see any bargains for any of the six cruises I have booked. I am finding the same thing with "Casino" cruises--Most of the same sailings and, in some cases, the  bargain is not as good!
