Ocean Medallion App - Part 3

Is there a way to see your shipboard account aka folio on the Medallion app? I see Home, Order, Journey, Compare and Profile at the bottom of the app screen. I know it's also possible to get a print out from the purser's desk.

 

Is there a way to see your shipboard account aka folio on your cabin's TV screen?

Yes, but you will only see it onboard.  It won’t be at the bottom.

My app does not show that we have purchased the Plus package anywhere that I can find.   It does, however, offer the option to buy it on the app.   I have the printout/receipt from our TA.  We cruise in February and I am green lane.    Does it not show until you are onboard?

Just look at your travel summary at Princess website. If it doesn’t show there then talk to your TA. We always print a copy of the summary to avoid arguments with the casino regarding amount    of free play

Ah, thanks for posting that! Glad to see I can access our folio so easily. In the pre-Medallion days I'd go down to the purser's deck every other day to get a print out; pain for them and for me!😎

In my admittedly limited experience, all cruise lines "offer" the packages even though we already have them. If it's on your printout/receipt/invoice from your TA you should be fine. I know for sure that's how Celebrity does it, but I have not cruised with Princess for a few years.

Try logging out of your phone and logging back in. That is something I had to do when it seemed to stick and spin.

YES!  With anything technology, 'unplugging' for five minutes often fixes the whole problem.  Good thing, too, because I have no idea what to do if it didn't.

Same here! Cleared cache, etc. Let's you log back in but then freezes again and next time you open it, back to the Princess logo splash screen. We sail in 4 days. Ugh!

Same. We got off Discovery this morning,  and I couldn't open it to check our account one last time.

Thank you.   I found it in the travel summary on their website.     And I have printed it out.

Thanks in advance… we have been booked on Sky 3-10Dec for ages and MedApp all done, Arrival Group confirmed and Green Lane! We have to pick up Medallion at pier as not shipped to Canada.

Yesterday booked Regal for 10-18Dec; went on App this morning and cannot do anything with either cruise! Looks like the App ‘combined’ both bookings even though each booking number shows and reads sailing 3-18Dec! Reservations advised bookings are definitely not linked, separate sailings on separate ships. Advised to contact Medallion Support but they don’t work weekends. Deleted App and uploaded it again. No change. Cannot delete the bookings from the App and try to add them separately.

Anyone had this happen before and what was the fix?

The first thing I did was reboot my phone.  No go.    I re-installed the app.   No go.   I then tried logging in again and lo and behold it tells me my email address is not valid!   Of course its valid!  I use it to log on the Princess website!    I sure hope they fix it quick.   I wanted to change my dining reservations and you can't do that without the app.

FWIW, I believe I had heard of this issue a long while back, so it is quite sad that the IT team has not fixed this.  They have it programmed to link up B2B's into one long voyage (although something like Medallion Net is offered for each segment).  Clearly, their programming logic is not accounting for different ship names even though guest is sailing B2B in terms of dates.  You are really doing S2S (side to side), but those dummies have failed guests yet again.

 

It would be interesting to know what something like DMW does when booking dining.  Such as which ship is the reservation linked with for the second segment in the background?

I'm having the same experience 11 hours after you posted this. We don't sail til Feb., but this is stressful for those sailing soon. Ugh!

You can see it on the app when you are on the ship. I think (but I am not on a ship, so I am not positive I am remembering correctly) you go to MedallionPay Portfolio (in the travel checklist section--which might move to the bottom once you are onboard & then click on journey account.

 

There has been a way to see the account of the TV in the past, but I don't know currently if you can or not.

Journey Account is in the top section when you are on board.  The Ocean Ready section moves to the bottom.  it works fine.  Watch for possible Page 2 as the days go by.

Since you just did that, can you supply a link to that travel summary? I think many here would benefit from that.  I can usually find that summary, but yesterday I could not. I was using Firefox on my PC which generally works fine.

Log into your Princess account.

Under "My Account" click "Upcoming Cruises".

Click "Manage This Booking" on the applicable (if you have more than one) cruise.

Click "Check-In" on the top menu.

Click "Print Travel Status" under "Guest Check-In Status."

Click "Print Travel Summary" under "Documents >Travel Summary."

I had the same problem as you for several hours this morning, then I checked with the Google Play store, and there was an updated medallion app, updated it just now, and now it works again.

I have the app on 3 devices (2 cell phones and an android tablet).  The app has locked up on one device, but not another one day.  I guess this is Princess' version of the "blue screen of death" - but just on the app 🤔. Then I have the problem on a different device the next day.  Same problem this morning.  Each time (after trying the reboot of the device, etc. with no luck) I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it from the Google Play store and it then worked.  I might just be picking up an update by doing this.
