Can you make it to the early shows with the early seating?

We've made it in the past  with anytime dining, just not sure if we took the early seating if we could make shows, table for 2.

How about specialist restaurants, can you make early shows?

Thank you for any and all info.

I've read some live from threads, and saw it posted dinners in Mdr and specialty were taking 2 1/2 hours. Go early lol.

Steak restaurant being overbooked, tons of obc floating around. Be patient. Go with the attitude just glad to be cruising again imo.

One of the reasons we decided not to pre-book the steakhouse is because it said to allow 2 1/2 hours.  That would make very difficult to make many show, especially the family friendly comedy shows, which usually are 7 and 8.  We will wait until we can see the list of shows before making those reservations.  That's another reason we choose YTD.  We usually go as soon as that dining room opens, which is 5:45, or has been 5:30 on some ships.

I make it to the first show in the main lounge every time I have early dining.  I don't have many options for seats, but I am always able to find two seats with a half decent view next to each other.  I don't stick around for the dancing in the dining room, and I ask for my dessert to be brought out before the dancing.  I got tired of melted banana splits.  I eat fast whether alone or with other people.  I don't wait for strangers or my mother to finish talking.  I will just save a second seat.  My mother leaves the table not long after I leave.

This is our thought process as well.  We try to get in as early as possible and get out asap so it doesn't effect any entertainment.  The mdr is hit or miss how fast they can get you in and out. I would hate to have to count on them getting you out fast, which would be your only chance.
