Is this worth the charge?

As a man with very simple food taste, I'd say it is worth it. After something like 15+ cruises I decided to give it a go on my last cruise on the Horizon and loved it so much I am doing it again on the Panorama in a few months.

By no means am I a foodie but the experience was awesome. The free flowing wine isn't a deterrent either.

In our opinion No.  how much you enjoy it will depend on your personal taste.  And what your table companions are like.  Our evening was ruined by one particular woman who seemed to think she was "queen" of the table.  She simply never shut up.

My husband is a big foodie, so we tried the Chef's Table on Conquest back in 2019. I am not sure if the menu has changed since then, but basically everything was fantastic and it was a notch above what you'd get in the other on-board dining options. (seriously there was only one thing that I didn't finish).

There is so much food - so if you do chefs table, come hungry!

Worth it? In our opinion it's a resounding "ABSOLUTELY!" Anything similar on land will run you a couple hundred dollars per person, so the price point is great if you've always wanted to try a multi-course tasting menu.

When we booked it, we tried to look at it as an experience rather than another meal on board. Basically - would you pay $75 or $95 for a shore excursion? Then that kind of answers your question about the cost.

Also... If you don't have cheers, the night you do chef's table is a good time to "get lit", because the wine is bottomless. 😉

Our only regret was my husband missed the night they had crème brulee (his favorite dessert) in the main dining room.

We've experienced a couple of Chef's Tables with her as well!

I've done the Chef's Table on Carnival about 5 times now, and I think of it as more of an experience than anything else... Don't get me wrong, the food is good, and I already have it booked for my Mardi Gras cruise in November, but I've had much better meals at "on land" restaurants...

When in November?

We have it booked for Thanksgiving evening (we'll probably be able to avoid the turkey this way, lol).
