Suzcruz57 Posted October 16, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2021 When I asked HAL, I didn’t get an answer as she wasn’t sure.
Rare VMax1700 Posted October 16, 2021 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2021 Which ship? On Eurodam there are less than 900 passengers. More staff than passengers. We are really being spoiled and it will be hard to be on a full ship in the future.

brainy blonde Posted October 16, 2021 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2021 Vmax1700: Any idea how many are expected for the crossing on October 30th? We are coming aboard. Thanks
dmcfad2 Posted October 16, 2021 #5 Share Posted October 16, 2021 We are on Koningsdam. The captain said we have about 1400 passengers, about 45%. It’s great! LOL
jhsocal Posted October 16, 2021 #6 Share Posted October 16, 2021 Those early Alaska cruises believe capacity was limited by HAL. Suspect these more recent cruises capacity is low due to lack of cruisers.
aliaschief Posted October 16, 2021 #7 Share Posted October 16, 2021 Nieuw Amsterdam is sailing with around 1,650 passengers.

Thanks Not Colin (VMax1700), but Ann (Vict0riann) stated there was lots of room for the crossing on her LIVE thread. Now that Canadians are permitted they are considering staying on. That sailing lost a lot of passengers when Europeans, Canadians and all other non U.S. citizens were cancelled by HAL because of the current U.S. regulations. idiebabe Posted October 16, 2021 #9 Share Posted October 16, 2021 Our Alaska Cruise had 1450 Onboard per the Captain at the "Ask the Captain". My PCC said our November 10th Carib Cruise is at 65% Capacity (as of two weeks ago). JMO, but I think it will depend on Itinerary.
Rare FlaMariner Posted October 16, 2021 #10 Share Posted October 16, 2021 Rumor has it our TA on the Rotterdam.....leaving Wednesday...is 60% full but that was before the foreign nationals were recently booted due to the administration's rules not allowing them in.
St Pete Cruiser Posted October 16, 2021 #11 Share Posted October 16, 2021 A friend just back from a MSC ship that has 5000 capacity only had 1500. It was a 7 day Caribbean cruise out of Miami. He paid $500 for a balcony room which included taxes and tips! I think younger people with children are not cruising.

magictam Posted October 16, 2021 #13 Share Posted October 16, 2021 I am currently on the Koningsdam. Like somebody else said it’s about 1400 passengers. But one of my new friends from this sailing is continuing next week and she has been told by guest services desk that it will be almost a full ship.
