Black Friday Sale?

Recommended Posts

We haven't cruised on Carnival for quite a while, but they made us a Players Club offer we couldn't refuse 😁 so we are booked for a four night on Liberty in February. It pains me to pay more for the drink package than for the cruise. Do you guys think that drink packages may go on sale for Black Friday, or is it usually just cruise prices?

So excited to be getting out there again!

I havent seen carnival offer any black friday deals, on cruisefares or otherwise in many many years. Once they tried that and the first 10 or whatever to call in got the deal. Massive unhappiness resulted. They never tried that again.

Dont hold your breath.

Thanks! I will just watch for whatever the forum says is a fair deal, and not focus on Black Friday.

In the past prior to the pandemic Carnival was offering a discount on excursions during black friday / cyber monday.  I would normally wait till buy my excursions at that time.  I can't remeber the exact discount 10% 15% or 20%.  I am not aware of the drink package going on sale but I never looked.  The drink package is slightly cheaper if you buy it prior to embarkation.

NO...it pains me to read about a gambler complaining that they didn't get the drinks on us promo in combination with the Players Club cheap offer.  Make  a few more donations and maybe you'll get the DOU promo next time.  Make an even higher donation and it'll be DOU anywhere.  Happy sailing.

Did your casino offer at least include drinks "while playing in casino"? They were offering a Cheers promotion under the RU1, RU2 and Ru3 code. Login and look under Today's Deals on your VIFP number. The RU9 code is not a deal. We booked a casino offer for 2. We booked a second cabin because the third pax was too high. Use an RU2 offer for solo with no single supplement and Cheers included for DW. Still cheaper than 3 in 1 cabin.

Don't think of it as paying more for your drink package than your cruise. Think of it as paying less for your cruise than you did for your drinks!

LOL... I have no idea why we got the offer. I am NOT a high roller by ANY definition of the word. I play low stakes blackjack a few times each cruise. This is the first time we have received such an offer.

It did include free drinks while in the casino, but I certainly don't live there while on the ship!😁

I'm sure our onboard expenses will exceed the cost of the cruise, and that's fine. Just trying to keep the costs down where we can.

I'll actually be flying to a cruise on Black Friday this year...hadn't thought of that in terms of the Black Friday sales. But, as others have said, it's been limited to excursions and spas in the past.  For the upcoming cruise, I have a good amount of OBC to burn up, so I won't bother to look.  But if you're excursion interested, it was worthwhile to me in the past.  (But they usually exclude Alaska and Hawaii from those, which did affect me one year.)
