To be honest, I've never had a Royal CD that I thought was fabulous. He was fine but I mostly saw him when he was on stage at the beginning of the shows. Definitely sounds like Arnold Scwartzenager LOL 😆

Praying that it's Steve Knisley. He was only on Allure for a month or so which I thought was rather short (the presidents cruise was during that time also). He was great on Ovation down in Australia last summer so fingers crossed he'll be bringing her home to Sydney in a few weeks.

Currently onboard Serenade and Ken Jones is not wowing me. His morning shows are boring, he doesnt interact much (only seen his twice around the ship outside shows and games). The Acitivites Team are carrying the load.

 

I have heard that Joff will be taking over as CD for the World Cruise.

Royal's CD's morning shows are recorded at Night & shown in the morning.

I prefer Carnival's Live morning show. They're a lot of fun. I once won a plate of Big Chocolate Chip Cookies for calling in a Trivia answer. You can attend them in the theater and sometimes there's audience participation.

Oh wow, that's too bad. I'm pretty sure I found his YouTube channel from when he was on Radiance, and his videos were awesome. I'm guessing he'll still be CD for the October 29 sailing?

CONFIRMED!  Per Steve Knisley, he's taking over on 9/22 and he's staying until 12/12 when Mike Hunnerup takes over.

We were on the East Bound TA from Galveston to Barcelona on Vision as well. Great cruise. Our Progressive Trivia team had a Seattle Sue on it. Team name - Neon Hogs 😁

The G in HOGS was for me, we lived in Georgetown TX but have since moved to Ann Arbor MI. Baltimore is our closest port. Going on Vision 12 day on Nov 4.

The only cruse directors I remember, from all the cruises I have taken, were two.

One was the very first cruise we ever took. It was Carnival and the CD was the most annoying person ever. I will never forget him.."Karl with a K." Even his name tag said it, he was introduced that way etc..

The other one, also from Carnival was Cookie. He was great.

But, honestly I pay no attention to the CD's, they have no bearing on my experience.

I couldn't even tell you who the CD was on our Allure sailing in 2019 or our Voyager sailing in 2022.

I know what you mean. I can name several of our CD'S on Carnival but only 1 on RCI. Still, we've enjoyed all of our 60 cruises so far!
