This is primarily for the Hawaiian cruises where boosters are required by Hawaii (or the individual islands), but the effective date has been moved to Jan. 24th.  On the other hand, every country in the world can change their restrictions at the drop of a hat.  So, if you plan to do any International ports on a cruise, don't be surprised that a booster will be required at the last minute.  That is the state of travel these days.

Got it.  Princess site still says boosters not required.  Apparently you need boosters to enter certain places on Maui starting the 24th, but not to get on the ship (yet).

Currently on the Ruby. I came onboard for a rest and have only been in my aft cabin and buffet.

 

From my limited observation so far, mostly of the buffet, people are respectfully wearing masks except while eating and drinking.

 

I haven't heard how many are onboard but there's not been a problem with distancing and the elevators have been empty when they arrive.

 

My travel companion spent hours in the casino last night and also witnessed masking, with the exception of one possibly drunk lady 🙃. 

 

Will be venturing out later to other areas of the ship.

I’ve asked the Mods to close this thread as the people I appealed to for help on the Ruby disembarked on Jan 6.
 

We have a live from thread for the Jan 6 sailing. @OmbudI remembered your query from earlier somewhere so I actually went to salty gig for the first time…. Just for you lol. Well and maybe for the great hamburger. I’m lame at posting links but you should find the live from on the first couple of pages in this forum.
