Casino Players - Which Ships have Video Poker?

Recommended Posts

We are avid RCCL cruisers (d+ and signature/prime).  Our game of choice in the casino is video poker (VP).  On our last trip, we sailed on the Brilliance and the Jewel.  The Brilliance had video poker, but we were very disappointed to find the Jewel have removed theirs and replaced them with a wall of Buffalo and others we'd never seen, nor would we play. It was very disappointing as it was a 12 day cruise. Has anyone else noted the removal of VP on their ships? Next up is the Serenade, which from what I can see on videos online still has machines...

Interesting.  I have never been on a Royal Caribbean ship that didn't have at least SOME video poker machines.  I was very disappointed when they removed the old video blackjack machines (the ones with the video dealer).  I don't think there are any of those left, that I am aware of.  I guess things change constantly and not always for the better.

Someone sailing on Quantum a month or two ago reported there were no video poker machines - they did say they heard the casino was supposed to be getting some kind of upgrade in July - hoping they add some then, will be on an Alaska cruise in August.

We were on the Quantum a few weeks ago. It has no (zero) video poker machines. And a lot of their slots were old and barely working. There was no demand for slots or VP when the ship was in Asia. According to the casino folks, they hope to get a few new slots and VP in July, maybe.

They would still need to do something about the floor space since the casino was designed for mostly tables (for China). And they have set up some chairs and tables for folks to sit and smoke at to fill the floor space.

As of Feb 2023 no video poker on Voyager.  Lots of space dedicated to Asian game tables, but they are just taking up space.  Slots are almost all generic slots with different screens - very few recognizable.  They are losing a lot of money that isn't being spent.
