cbowls30 Posted July 4, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2022 hi all we are cruising royal carribean, dissembarking and boarding spirit sameday. We've just realised that carnival won't accept a pcr test taken same day as boarding, it must be at least 24hrs before. Has anyone had this problem? hoping someone may have some advice or we may have to cancel one of the cruises. We feel really stupid we've done this, but after 3 years of not cruising we were so excited to book b2b it simply didn't cross our minds. any help or advice very much appreciated. thank you
mz-s Posted July 4, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 4, 2022 So you're cruising with unvaccinated guests I assume?
Rare 1025cruise Posted July 4, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 4, 2022 You usually won't get a PCR result that fast.

Yeah, I just checked the protocols and that 24-hr rule only applies to PCR testing for unvaccinated cruisers. Edited July 4, 2022 by Cruise, J.D. Rare Essiesmom Posted July 4, 2022 #7 Share Posted July 4, 2022 Take along the proctored home tests. Check to see if Royal will test on ship and if not, use the proctored ones. EM

kelkel2 Posted July 5, 2022 #10 Share Posted July 5, 2022 I also vote to take the eMed tests with you! You could do them early that morning when you’re close enough for cell phone service and have your results in minutes.

It was discontinued for B2B cruises. She isn't really doing a b2b but a s2s with different cruise lines.
