Disembarking Question

Our cruise on Beyond is coming to an end. To disembark, can we walk off with our bags at any time? The info says if we are walking off with our bags to meet in the theater at 6:45. We want to walk off at 7:30 to meet our driver in Rome. How strict are the times?

Asking people who are schlepping their luggage to disembark first helps reduce the mayhem on that morning. Technically, you can leave with your own bags anytime, but you may find it less easy to navigate hallways and elevators.

Thank you, makes sense

We have just returned from a Rome cruise - we self disembarked. We went straight to the gangway around 0645 and it only took 5 mins to get out and meet our driver who we had booked for 0700  If you are going at 0730 then you will be disembarking with others who aren't self disembarking

It may also depends on your cabin category.

We recently disembarked Silhouette (June 25), using the self debarkation process.

To our surprise, one or two nights prior to the end of the cruise, we received an invitation for Concierge Class category, offering us to proceed to the MDR, level 4, I believe, to wait for disembarkation up to 8:30 AM.

Coffees and croissants were offered while we waited.

To slightly expand on the cabin category issue, passengers booked in Suites can disembark at any time.  Suite passengers gather in the Retreat Lounge/Michael's Club and the concierges escort them to the gangway entrance when they are ready to disembark.  Zenith and Suite passengers have special disembarkation luggage tags and their luggage will be in the area for those luggage tags.

Does this apply if you're in a Suite and want to self-disembark or only if you set your luggage out the night before? TIA! First time in a suite in Celebrity in December--looking so forward to it!

Self disembark are not allowed to leave luggages outside the door even you are suite guess.

You need to carry with you when you leave the next morning.

Check with the retreat host/hostess when you get on board.  We regularly sail in suites but are never in a hurry to get off quickly except for a cruise a few years ago. The suite luggage goes off first and is waiting as soon as disembarkation begins. We met the hostess in the retreat and she escorted us to the front of the line to exit. We were picking our luggage up 5 minutes later and one of the first people through customs.

In theory, anyway.  On our last cruise somebody decided the “early flight” luggage should come off first.

Either.  Just go to the Retreat Lounge whenever you've left your room.  If you are looking to walk off with the earliest folks, someone will escort the congregation to the exit.  If you aren't leaving with the first group off, then you are free to hang around and enjoy a bit of food and drink until you are ready to go (or get kicked off around 9 AM).

But they will give you the "SUITE/ZENITH" luggage tags whether you want them or not.  You have up until the deadline to decide whether you want to walk off with all luggage or not.  At least, that has been my experience.  I've appreciated that, too, as there was one time we decided at the last minute to put a particularly large and cumbersome bag out for pickup even though we originally had intended to walk off with it.
