Miami Airport - Fort Lauderdale transfers

Hi.  Can anyone recommend a company for private transfer from Miami Airport to a hotel in Fort Lauderdale please.  Many thanks 😊

We used Cata Black Car Service in March. They utilize large SUVs, a bit of a challenge to get into for this old broad with arthritic knees, but the service was excellent. (Black Car Service where we live means large sedans.)

 

Our vehicle did not pick up us near the terminal, as expected. Rather, we walked quite a distance with the driver into a parking garage to get to the SUV. Long way to carry a heavy, over-packed travel purse.

We always get an Uber from Miami Airport.  Very easy and good value. Pick up out of the arrivals doors. I can see the benefit of a private car service but as a non-US citizen passport control can take a v.long time and I would not wish a driver to be waiting.

Check with the hotel to see if they use a 3rd party company for transfers. Our hotel did.

Larry's Limos is the most often suggested provider for private transport in the MIA-FLL area.

 

You can take a taxi from MIA to your hotel for about $75+ (depends upon your hotel location).  Uber and Lyft should be cheaper (and nicer) unless surge pricing pushed fares up.

If you would prefer to book before you go and want to pay in sterling, you can book through Booking.com. We did this earlier this year and it all worked fine.

In the past, I sometimes used shared transportation, i.e. supershuttle. I understand this one went out of business. Is there anything equivalent?
