Noted we have a few Carnival Gift cards, seemingly purchased here locally. Once on board, how do we redeem these.....and is there a limit on how many can be used per trip?

Add them to your account at guest services or a kiosk. No limit I’m aware of. If there’s money left over they will send you a new gift card. It comes really quick. Fed ex a day or two after the cruise for me.

You really don't "redeem" them. You go to Guest Services and have that Gift Card applied to your Sail & Sign Account. I've heard that there are kiosks that are automated, and can perform that task. But I've never tried it. I always go to G.S. to have it done.

I buy Carnival card at the local grocery store for the fuel points.  Last cruise I loaded $800 for use in the casino.  No issues at all.  Recommendation, try the self service kiosks at first  The guest services line can be long on the first day.  If you have issues at the kiosks, then go there, but rarely have issues using the kiosks.

FYI, there is no charge at the casino to use the funds.  So if you load $500, you get 500 to spend at the casino

You can also use the gift cards before your cruise to pay the balance of your cruise fare, pay for prebooked excursions, FLYTOFUN airfare, prebooked specialty dining, and Funshop purchases.

I typically take enough gift cards with me to cover my expected onboard costs and apply the amount at a kiosk on the final full day based on my balance at that time.

Just a note about limits.  I tried to apply $1300 one time and was stopped.  They advised me the limit to apply at one time was $1000.  So, I did that and went back and did the other $300 the next day before we got off the ship.  Now I just go down and pay as I go each day to avoid trying to put on a large amount all at once.

Don't know if this is a regular rule or what, but just what I experience onboard one sailing.

Are you both buying gift cards with 10% off through Allstate?

Both AARP and Allstate Rewards

I wish I would have checked out discounted gift cards sooner.  I've been on 5 cruises since Restart and the discount has been very helpful.  I have 5 more cruises booked.  My DH says I'm addicted.  He's right.🤣

Just to let you know, on AARP you can buy Princess cards for the same 10% off and also buy Celebrity cards as well.  With Celebrity though you can only use it for I believe 500.00 per person.  But it still saves you 100 off of the 1000 for two.
