Glass Block Delivery...

Supply chain has also caught some ship merchandise.  We are the goofy ones that not only have a display area for the blocks we earn, but we also try to buy one of the $50 model ships from the Logo store on each new ship we sail.   Were on Freedom for a b2b this past week, and no models, no magnets- all stuck in China.   Still think they should be able to be purchased (outside of others wanting 3 times the amount on Ebay).   Guess we'll wait a couple years and book Freedom again!  🙂

I think, and I don't remember where I heard this, but the Loyalty Ambassador on each ship, or someone in that group, files reports with the home office and sends the data back to the home office periodically that Crown and Anchor uses.   It seems like the bigger ships have more data and sends their data in more often.   I have observed that the points from my last cruise SEEM to show up faster from some cruises than others.  /end conjecture

That's how we got our 210 block ON the very cruise.  I was told to get in touch with the LA and she made sure we got it, so I know the ship is in possession of some blocks.  It was Vision and they gave it to us at the recognition ceremony with the officers.  I'm hoping I can do the same for ICON.  3 blocks will look good on my bookshelf and these blocks are the only RCCL stuff I put out at all.  I like them because they are subtle and classy.  Don't care about pins at all.  I just keep the diamond+ one so we can get into functions that sometimes require them.  I threw the other ones out already.

On our last cruise in May, we spoke to the Loyalty Ambassador on board. He ordered them for us. They arrived yesterday. 🙂

This is also how we were successful in receiving ours.  We had spoken to other LA’s and they didn’t help us.  On the Navigator they had us fill out a form and within 2 weeks we finally received ours.

You are lucky to get it given to you. 7 blocks and have never had one handed to us. It was always left in our stateroom one evening. Well we are still waiting for our last 2 blocks as the ship did not have them.

I have never been to an event that we had to wear our D+ pins. What function requires a D+ member to wear their pin? Even the lunch with an officer (now toast with an officer) we have not been asked to wear pin.

Several...once as we departed from Roatan there was a Diamond only event on the helipad and you had to wear your pin to get in.  This was several years ago on Mariner.  Just because you don't experience something doesn't mean it doesn't happen.  You post almost sounded as though you think I made it all up.  I'll find my photo of the block presentation and post it.  And it wasn't luck, I was told to ask the LA about it and I did, she is the one who gave it to me onboard.

We did not start sailing until 2006 and only once in that time have I ever had a crew member mention the pin to me.  We were aboard a ship when they had the "Diamond Breakfast" section in the back of the main dining room.  We walked up to the podium on day 2 and informed them we were there for the Diamond Breakfast and when they did not see a pin, they asked for our cards.  The maitre'd commented that would should wear our pins so they could identify us as diamond easier.

When we walked up to the podium every morning after that, the maitre'd informed the escort to take us to the Diamond area.  I don't think any of our pins, except the ones presented on the ship (which were left in our stateroom), have ever left the house.  I believe they are all upstairs in a drawer in the china cabinet.

We were never presented with a crystal block so far.  Our first two were both left in our stateroom.  The last two I called and requested via the phone.

It was the Diamonds in December on Mariner 2011 and the party was on the fantail area not the helipad.  I have a movie of it but it won't post on here.  We got an email from the diamond concierge before the cruise telling us about this cocktail event and to bring our Diamond pins for admittance, so after that I kept the diamond ones in case that happened again.  As for the brick...That was on Vision 2019.  The LA had to check to confirm our points with corporate, I remember that distinctly, and then she called our cabin and told us we'd be given the block at the C&A recognition in the Some Enchanted Evening Lounge. In the photo I am holding the brick. Yes we have clown noses on, it's a long story!   Our only other block was Allure and it was sent to us.

My Mother always taught me it was extremely rude to dispute someone's word.

Did I dispute your sentence about needing to wear a pin to an event? You seem to be a little defensive and reading more than what I posted. I did not say your are a liar and it has never happened. Just asking a simple question.

I said how lucky you got your block during a presentation. All 7 blocks of mine were just left in the cabin. So you are now saying I did not get mine left in the cabin and calling me a liar? Sorry I have no need to ask them to present me the block for cruising 140 points. I do not need recognition like that as I am pretty low key.

So since 2012 you have not been asked for D pin to get into an event or function? Like I said, I have never been asked for a D/D+ pin to get into any event or function as we started cruising in 2014. Now, I have been asked for my suite card to get into the suite areas..does that count?

So now you are disputing my experience?

I see you did not learn what your mother taught you.

I guarantee you that if you had NOT worn a Diamond pin, but had shown your SeaPass card with Diamond printed on it, you would have gotten in.

Oh a lot of people didnt but I do what I'm told....most of the time!  😉

I didn't say that either.  I AM a little thin skinned, it happens on this blog.  After being attacked by some posters you tend to get defensive.  Sorry if you had no intention of being that.

I think you  are pretty defensive yourself, you were negating my experience not the other way around.  And Diamonds in December was a special sailing. Is it a game, what do you mean "does it count".  I will not respond to any more of your posts in any event, I don't want to risk being suspended.

So update on block progress.  Just back from Brisbane after our 18 day Quantum sailing. We passed the 340 mark and had a block waiting for us in our cabin on day 6.

Still waiting for our Odyssey block we earned in Feb though....

You received it for hitting 350. Every 70 starting at 140. Congrats.
