Home Tests ( govt. ones) not supervised by a dr. for vaccinated adults on 13 night Panama Canal trip

Does it look like we can use  the home test from the govt. not supervised for  vaccinated adults  on  the 13 night  Panama Canal cruise Sept. 2.

That is how I read this  and  other too think this is  ok.

If you are sailing and returning to the US and not going to Bermuda or Canada……and you are vaccinated…..why are you testing??

Canada dropped their testing requirements and I think Bermuda did too (still have to pay the $40 entrance fee) but what about the ports the Panama Canal cruise stops at? What does Columbia require? Panama?

Exactly. I am booked on the 10 day radiance jan 30th .. rcl still requires testing so I assume it has to be supervised.

Check out this link.  Pick your port of departure and look at the details, but the way I read it, you do not need a proctored test, just a test.

Good to know. Says not supervised, just bring the results of the test. I guess a camera shot or the test itself as proof.

 

Havent thought that far forward for myself. OP let us know what proof people bring if you would. 

 

It can be professionally proctored at your doctor or drugstore, or it can be a test you administer to yourself at home without supervision.

They said  a  govt. covid test  is ok. No supervision for my  13 day Panama Canal cruise.  LA to Tampa.  Just bring a  picture or bring the whole thing to the port.

I will let  you know  how  this goes.  I  haven't found anyone who  has  taken the  govt. free test  and not  dr. supervised to the port and got on the  ship.   I am doing  2  canal cruises.   Oct.2  and Oct. 20  both leave from Los Angeles and I plan to use the govt. issued  tests.

I'm also on the Panama Canal 13 nights cruise Oct 2nd San Pedro-Tampa. I'm going to play it safe and use the proctored (Binex) tests we already have on hand and print out the hard copies. Doing them tonight. Not going to take a chance on anything else. JMHO

We too are on this cruise.  We chose to go to CVS on Thursday and got our results last night, Friday.  All set to board!!!

Just used a Free Govt Home Test yesterday and my Daughter taking a picture of me holding it showing Negative. No issues or Questions with Boarding today on my 13n Panama Canal.
