Crazy Mariner Deals Right Now

In the last 5 days I've booked a 7 day Barcelona to Rome cruise for next April at $200 pp, for an inside cabin but I'm assuming I'll get some upgrade offers nearer the time. And even if I don't, 7 days for that money can't be missed.

And I also booked their 14 day South American cruise next Feb for $1150 pp for a verandah ($1400 off pp!) but they were also offering the same $200 pp deal for the inside cabin. I almost went for that but decided for such a trip I really wanted the view and didn't want to risk not having one.

They are also offering me half price Have it All ($50 a day pp) in both bookings which seems like another steal,.

Doesn't seem to be all cruises, and I don't know how or why I found these but if you are looking for a great deal, they might be out there.

Yep, no $200 rate for me either.....

....for me...a lowly 3 Star who does not frequent the casino, I can pay for an inside:

  • $864 for the 4/22 7 day Europe and
  • $999 for the 2/24 South America

You should grab all you can........meanwhile, back in the real world.......

I think so as well.

When I go through the booking - I get it at $1159 CAN pp and I think that is a "Casino discount" from the posted $1449 CAN.

I am not sure it's a Casino offer. My rates look very similar to yours and I frequent the casino a lot. However, I took my parents on their 1st ever cruise in July and when I log into my Mom's account and look at the same cruise the pricing matches the OPs. My mom did not spend a single cent in the casino. She has also been getting emails almost weekly from HAL offering free cruises for the last 6 or so weeks, and not just basic cruises, but some rather long ones over 30 days etc..

Interesting, I didn't know there was such a thing as a casino offer. I'm not a big casino person though, maybe spend $20 a day tops, often nothing, when I'm on board. And I'm just a humble 2 star, knocking on 3.

This is a dumb question.  Where do you find Mariner specials?

I get them from two places.......

When I log in to the HAL site and then go look at cruises....

And when I log in with my email to look at the cruise rates from the big, web online TA site.....

If your Mom played Bingo - that is now run by the Casino and counts towards the casino discount.

Do you see them at the start, or do you have to continue through the booking? When I search I see a price, and then if I follow through and get to selecting a room, sometimes the price is then discounted from what was displayed. In my case (a recent booking) it says "Casino discount applied" so mine appears to be a Casino discount, but I have to start a mock booking to get it.

For me, the price I see after login in and searching is the price that follows me thru to the booking page....after cabin selection.

I've not noticed the prices changing as I go thru the mock booking progress.....and there is the option to pick the "cruise only" rate or the one with "bells/whistles".

I've never seen or experienced a casino rate.  I'm thinking I might need to give my son my card next month while we are on the NS and send him to the roulette wheel for a while and see what happens next.

while casino offers normally look like this....

So I really don't think it is a casino related.

They sure look like casino offers to me - even the phone # is for them 😉

Hmm so I wonder why I got offered these, then. Like I said I never got any email about them, was just browsing the website looking for an Italy cruise, picked one at random that looked good and boom there was the "from 200pp".

I'd been looking at S America for a couple of years but it kept getting cancelled so on a whim I was checking that out a few days later and clicked on the only one that fit our plans and there again "from 200pp" came up.

Just my good fortune, I guess.

Her's says "Special" offer at the top and the Casino ones say "CASINO" offers at the top. Also the fine print at the bottom of each is slightly different. The casino ones reference casino offers numerous times. Her's never mentions casino anywhere.

There is a long thread about $200 inside offers. It appears that you will only receive them if you have cruised on HAL before, but not recently, and don't have any future bookings.

Well the not recently isn't true, as she sailed July 16-23rd (1st cruise ever) and started get the offers almost immediately  afterwards. It is true she has nothing else booked currently
