We’re doing back to back cruises on Celebrity Beyond in June/July 2023. Same cabin both cruises. So excited as will be onboard for 21 nights. A 40th wedding anniversary and 2 big birthday celebrations!

 

Have cruised with Celebrity many times (Elite Plus), but have never done a back to back before.

 

How does it work on changeover day? Breakfast?  Anywhere open for us? New cards etc? Any advice gratefully received, thanks.

Following as we are doing our first back to back on the Celebrity Apex, December/January.  Also Elite plus and in a suite both legs of the cruise.

The procedure an vary depending on where you are cruising. In all cases you will received written instructions and there will be a meeting for B2B  cruisers to go over the details.

Each cruise is separate so you will receive a new sea pass for the 2nd leg.  Your account for the 1st cruise is closed out, so if you have any OBC it does not carry over to the 2nd leg.

since you aren’t changing cabin you don’t need to pack anything.

Breakfast is available (early, though) for everyone on debarkation day.

As JWLane indicated the OVC is open as well as 6:30 - 8:30  and Blue and Luminae are open between 6:30- 8:00.   If traveling in Suite they have a small buffet in retreat that remains open late.

 

At the B2B processing area they usually have coffee and pastry available.

 

In addition al Bacio is open and will remains open even between the b2b processing and general boarding.

I am doing a B2B, November 2022.

Everything that I have read has been a bit vague.

We understand the procedure but are wondering about testing between a 4 night and a 10 night, same ship and cabin

We are on the Equinox now. The first cruise was 10 days. We took a picture of our negative tests and had them on our phone. We were never asked to show them, other people were asked at check in. We stay on for the next cruise, which is 9 days. They had the back to back meeting yesterday and no mention of tests at all. We are on the last sea day now. I will come back and let everyone know if anything changes. It may be different if the second leg was 10 days.

We are doing a b/2/b on the apex in Dec/Jan. from Ft.  I "assume" no more covid tests are required.

It depends on the port where the cruise embarks the new guests.  Some ports require you to go through customs and immigration. US ports often make you do this when you leave and enter again. It doesn’t have to happen on turn around day. In September, we took a cruise from Vancouver to San Diego.  When we stopped in Seattle, first US port, we had to get off ship and go through immigration on the pier.  On some cruises, US immigration has met people on the ship.  Some cruises let you use the same seapass for both cruises. Some cruises take away the old seapass and give you a new one.  My favorite is when you get one seapass that is good for both cruises and no checkin or immigration stops.  Many European ports do this.  It’s just another day of your cruise. Get off, enjoy day, and get back on.  Be ready for anything.

Celebrity treats each leg on a B2B as a separate cruise.  On Celebrity folks will receive new sea pass cards for each leg, even if they are in the same stateroom.  Also unused non-refundable OBC will not carry over to the second leg nor will unused internet minutes.

And if you change CC tiers from the first to the second, you may need to go to guest services to get them to update it

 That depends on where you are sailing to. There are still some countries that require non-vaccinated guest to have a test prior to embarkation.
