Can anyone speculate why we didn’t/couldn’t go to another port like Princess Cay? I know NCL changed our itinerary around when we were unable to go to one of our ports on a cruise. Passengers are P’d off and asking.

Possibly another Princess ship is already scheduled for Princess Cays?  I've never seen more than one ship in Princess Cays at a time.

We have never used this service but not having to check in or drop off bags etc at the airport is tempting but I have a question about it.
To be clear it appears Princess charges $25 per passenger AND the airlines also charge $30 per bag (except for SW) for the service? If so is the airline fee here in addition to their typical checked bag fee or is it the same fee you’d pay if checking in at the airport?
Thanks

Love your report and photos! I'm on this itinerary in January.

Did you have to upload proof of vax or test to your app? Or show at embarkation?

Upload in the App. Right now you need it or proof of negative test to go to Columbia.

I see that you're embarkation was switched to 12:30 from Port Everglades as well as our January 7th Panama canal Cruise. Could you tell me if that really was in effect? We wanted to get there at 11:00 as originally planned and are willing to wait if we could be first in line or so as we want to run up to the sanctuary to reserve.

Also what time did you actually sell? Was it the 3:30? I can't imagine that all those people could be handled in 3 hours. Thank you so much!

Glad that woman's daughter wasn't hurt.

Our friends cabin was leaking water from their balcony. The water was coming underneath the door jam.

Did your friends report this to Guest Services and/or the Maintenance Department ?   We had water coming from the top of the sliding doors and just wanted to let them know. After looking at it, they said they would put some sealant around it after the rain had stopped. I was satisfied with their response and didn't think about it anymore. Two days later we got an "Apology for the Inconvenience" letter from GS with a $100.00 on board credit. It was totally unexpected but appreciated. I promptly headed right to the Casino and donated it back to Princess's coffers by way of the Slot Machines.😂🤣😀

It was fixed and yes they were compensated.

Last night we received an email noting the C-19 vaccination requirements for Columbia. Please take note in case you, or your traveling companions are not vaccinated:

Can it be a self test? I leave 12/28 and I believe the app says it can be a self version but I don’t know if all their messaging matches so I don’t know what is really needed.

It says medically observed, so that can probably be the drive thru at a CVS or Walgreens where they check your ID and watch you use the swab.  Probably your easiest remaining choice if you are departing tomorrow and are not vaccinated.  Seems like they could make a quick buck offering that at the port at a high price for those who are caught unawares.
