Well, the Villages has a reputation for a reason lol.  There are some stats out there.

Pretty much BS. Stats are easily manipulated. The original story has been debunked several times, but it's really just an urban myth.

I thought you had a sense of humor.  You don't fit the original story.  You are married.  We're talking the widowed population there.   My original statement had to do with that demographic.

I do have a sense of humor, and I'm no fan of the Villages. But it's a stupid stereotype.

Look at this

I also doubt the Female to Male relationship is the reported 10 to 1. It's nowhere near that in our community of 12,000. I doubt it's much more than 2 to 1

Duh.  It was all a joke.  But there is a lot of data out there about seniors.    You are very defensive about life in FL and in an area of seniors.  Relax.

I guess we could make fun of Virginia for a change. I'm well qualified for that as well. 😉

Just remember the motto from the Gadsden Flag before you start in on Virginia 🙂

I didn't fire the opening Salvo 😉

As a former NOVA ressident, I'm sure I can come up with something 😏

Only because some group decided to hijack it.

YES, its those horny cruisers who took the ultimate symbol of hospitality and turned it into a symbol of ultimate hospitality!

I bet the whole thing was thought up at one of those secret Diamond Plus gatherings. Now we all know what Royal's description of those Diamond lounges really mean; "From concierge access to complimentary continental breakfast (including pineapple) , and even complimentary cocktails at happy hour, our most loyal guests enjoy special perks in a space reserved just for them."  🤯

It should not be hard.  I mean the state's license plates even say "Virginia is for lovers."  This could be taken many ways.

Well, I do not know whether or not the "in a space reserved just for them" really applies any longer.  the more I read comments here on Cruise Critic the more I am seeing about people who are not in the top three tiers of C&A being allowed/escorted into the Diamond Lounge.

Aw, come on, you can't just leave it at that.  I always wonder how people approach others on this topic.   It's not the type of thing that just comes up in casual conversation lol.

Chatting with a nice couple at a bar with my husband. After about an hour, the wife said something along the lines of "we'd be interested in going back to our place and seeing what happens next if you would."

We weren't, but no harm no foul.
