I've found CC to be a struggle to post on when on a ship, typically.

I hear you. I've yet to be able to access the "free" CC on a ship...even after trips to the Internet "help" desk. I've always wondered how others are able to post live trip reports, pictures, etc.

I have found that I need to REFRESH the page before beginning a new post. For some reason I get logged out quite a bit. That and make sure photos load all the way before posting or leaving the page. Yes, it gets frustrating at times.

Question about Ward Cove to downtown Ketchikan free shuttle please.

Planning to get off ship as early as possible. Probably a few thousand other cruises have the same idea. How bad are the queues to get onto bus? Do NCL group excursion use same shuttles and have priority before everyone else?

Do shops in town open early?

Many thanks

Ward Cove sucks.

Curious…is there horseradish in that Bloody Mary? On Epic recently and there was so much in the mix I couldn’t even drink it.  I actually wasted a drink…lol.

Spicy?  Yes!  But that’s the way I like my Mary’s!😉

Not sure what is going on.  But, synching Cruise Critic with the ship’s WiFi seems to be the issue!

I’m using Verizon LTE right now given we’re docked.  LTE is slow, but at least I can post pics.

Plus, I’m able to log in using LTE, which I couldn’t do earlier!

For art, it is on deck 6 in between The Social and Taste/Savor.  They had fun scavenger hunts in March but that might not be your thing.

The tv screen with the officers is by the staircase next to The District.

Found it.  Less obtrusive than on the AWAY ships!

Dan, do you have any VPN enabled by default on VZW or your hardware.  Mine does and I had to disable them onboard and it's fine on CC, faster speed.  Almost twice as fast vs. the Joy last year & beating the Getaway in January.  Epic is 13 years old ...

Just saying hello east of Bermuda now, steaming toward the Azoles w Ponta Delgada as next stop this Saturday.

I was hoping someone from CC would be posting onboard the Dawn and Breakaway on their TA, BA well ahead of us doing the crossing.  Oh, well 🤗

Download speed this late evening is slightly faster but upload is slower, still acceptable but pricey in values.

In a bulkhead seat.  Lady next to me keeps trying to push her big purse under her seat, which the guy behind her keeps kicking back.  Looks like this is going to be a thing for the next 4 hours.

But, we’re on time!!!!

I fight with my hubby all the time about those seats. He always wants them for the extra space, but I hate them because I have nowhere to put my backpack. We compromise with comfort plus and a non bulkhead.

Not that familiar with The Local’s menu.  I’m usually there for food late at night, after the casino.  Don’t know if it’s better, worse, or the same.

My food was good for lunch, though!

They parsed down the menu quite significantly. Many of my favorites have gone away, so what once used to be a favorite place of ours has now been replaced with Food Republic as our new favorite for munchies.

I never recall paying any additional taxes on drinks when you have free at sea. As long as the price is below $15 you are good to go. So is Washington state different from rest of the world? Does anyone know?

As others have said, it's nearly every port. When you're on land, there's a good chance you'll have an extra $1-2 charge, regardless of whether you have the drink package or not.

Sorry about the multiple posts, and to keep harping, but if you are going to chaerge

me for the top internet plan, at least make it marginally workable.

Took me 20 mins to post the above pics.  And it took me another 15 mins just to log on to Cruise Critic.

I get it.  If you don’t want to host live reports, just say so!

Onward…Texas Q was very good.  The brisket was tender and flavorful.  The sides were all quite tasty.  Service was great.  What more can you ask for?

No VPN. Speed test doesn’t even register.  Ping is dismal.

Your live review is great, BTW!

So what was the ceremony like when you were anointed into the 🐀 pack? Were mazes and treats involved?😀

We keep it under wraps to keep the mystery there, but a Blue Moon honor is involved at a minimum. Sometimes a cheese platter if we're trying to be a fancy rat.

Well…there was the running of the gauntlet, followed by the blood letting.  The handshake and super secret codes I can’t divulge!

Unfortunately, special requests for things like pics of officers are difficult to to accommodate, given how tough it is to post pics and even to log in.  I’ll post other pics that y’all might find interesting, when the opportunities become available.

Everyone, crew and guests, have been fantastic so far, needless to say!

Today’s news…not particularly welcomed, but not unexpected!

Yay that it is still operating.  I bet it will look beautiful seeing the snow.  Pics please…when you can.
