Why are people afraid to walk a few steps?  By the looks of a lot of cruisers, might actually do them some good.    Seems there are always a ton of loungers available on the top deck.  There are even bar staff waiters if you don't want to walk 25 steps for your next drink.                                                        For those commenting about not needing a lounger if they are in the pool- if you aren't in the pool, why do you need a lounger next to it?

How about seats in the bar?  If you're not pounding a drink every 10 minutes, should you be forced to vacate your seat?

Do we have an Axiom Ship moment on WALL-E? (Disney Pixar WALL-E)

Body shaming not necessary.

…Good thing I do have thick skin, not unlike a 🐷

Now that Ret MP has graciously posted the official  RCCL edict on the subject, we can all toe the same line…here at least

Wow, that says a lot about you if you refer to police as pigs. 🙄

You said you save a chair for your spouse for 2 hours. That is the textbook definition of a chair hog.

👍🏼

LMAO

i was referring to myself having thick skin, not unlike a piggie …as in a pun re chair hogs.

BTW one of my sons served as a police officer, with many commendations for bravery over his years of service.  I am very proud of him and all his brothers who protect and serve.

again, that word “assume” comes to mind

As to the 2nd quote you highlight, if you had taken the time to actually read thru the thread; you’d have seen my expansion re my morning routine.

The one where I’m up on deck, usually one of the few up and at ‘em in the location I prefer…not planted in crowded main pool side, nor near a hectic bar…in the shade in furthermost seating area in adult pool location

carry on

It's not that unusual to see hogs up and at 'em at sunrise staking out their location.

Seems like you’ve put some thought into this. Will definitely defer to your familiarity re hogs

It is a lovely pic, almost inspirational.  always nice to see somebody spread a little ️, even if unintentionally.

We sailed on Anthem last week with the new signs on the loungers.   IMO, it helped.  I did Not notice the usual large amount of chair hogs in the morning hours.  I'm sure there were some but nothing like my previous sailing in December.

Same for us on the Anthem a couple of weeks ago and I also felt it made a difference versus all our other Royal sailings.

Your observations are valuable to me because you do not use hyperbole and try to maintain a balance of what we would like ideally and what is practical. I sail in eleven days and I will try and report what I experience without drama or prejudice (very hard to do but I will try my best).

Hopefully, no 🤥.

Very kind of you. Thank you. …and happy Easter!

After reading a few comments, I'll put my ideas (good or bad) out here for comments. Maybe they should somehow (don't know how) attach one of those "will be back at" clock signs to the chairs. When you leave your chair, move the clock hands to the time that you will return (no more than 30 minutes or less maybe) from the time you left the chair.🤔

Or, somehow limit the total time that you're allowed to occupy the chair; kind of like a parking meter.😂

We just got off of Serenade from a B2B over spring break and I thought they should start a game of "how many kids can get into a hot tub at once?" I thought there was a maximum number of bodies allowed into the people soup pots!🤢 Oh, and the main pool had to be emptied 3x (that I am aware of) over this 2 week period; once for poo and once for vomit; not sure about the other(s). I wore my swim wear to the pool but chose not to enter; however, hubs and I did occupy the same table and 2 chairs for the entire 2 weeks to enjoy drinks, eats and people watch!😁 Pool entertainment was actually better than the mediocre shows, which hubs couldn't enjoy because of the stinky smoke smell finding its way into the theater (and the cinema) from the casino. Pew!🤧

Cheers all!
