Traveling with a Group of 15 - 1st Time

Recommended Posts

Just make sure your group doesn’t preclude you from trying a variety of restaurants and striking up conversations with other passengers at bars and at ship activities.

If you are on a NCL excursion, 1 person can collect the stickers that they use to identify which bus/tour group you are in. Same for tenders I believe.

But please, don't be that group that holds up everyone else because only half of the group shows up on time.  Had a lady literally blocking the exit out of the theater (more than once) while trying to get her group together.  3rd time it happened, NCL stepped in and made them wait until the group was together.

Or hogs the elevators, blocks entire hallways, takes 3 entire pizzas because "we have a big group," etc. A big group traveling together is nothing more than a group of individuals, and doesn't entitle them to special privileges (but DOES entitle them to reasonable accommodations like sitting together in restaurants if space permits.)

Question - has NCL done anything for you onboard or even embarkation when you are a group of 15?
are there group boardings?

group dining and theater?

any perks for the group?

How many cabins?  If you have at least five cabins with 2 passengers each, you would be entitled to a discount and 100 OBC for each cabin if you officially make it a group.

Aw yes the big group issues.

They should make plans for splitting up at times for ease of getting around. Too much togetherness can be tiring to themselves and others.

Or, when they pull multiple tables together so all fifteen can sit together and then they yell at each other to be heard.

Personally I think traveling with a big group is a coordination nightmare. Unless the

group is family or friends from childhood it is also a recipe for hurt feelings. Everyone has

to be on the same page. One person pressured the whole group to go on a walking tour of a port when two wanted to rent bicycles. The two who didn't get to rent bicycles were mad the whole rest of the trip.
