Voice of the Ocean - is it still happening?

Has anyone seen the Voice of the Ocean offered on recent cruises?  I was on a Panama Canal sailing on the Caribbean Princess and all they had was sad, poorly attended karaoke in club fusion. Evening games shows were lacking too. Mostly trivia was on offer for evening “entertainment” outside of Princess theater shows, limited live music in Wheelhouse and an ok-ish piano person in Crooners.

It was when I got off of the Regal 3 weeks ago.

 

When was your cruise, that sounds more descriptive of last year during the restart, instead of more recent cruises.

Yes, it was on the Royal a few weeks ago. Thats the first I have seen it post-Covid (most recent cruise prior to May was Dec 2022).

I sailed December 8th-18th 2022, so maybe that is why.  There were no covid-protocols in place, but maybe they were still short staffed and could not offer full entertainment programming.  Glad to hear it seems to be on a few ships now!

Yes on the Emerald in January 2023 (Panama Canal, Ft. Lauderdale to L.A,)

Yes on the Crown in March 2023 (Hawaii RT from L.A.)

 

Also had Princess Pop Choir and lotsa karaoke on both cruises.

My story on the Voice of the Ocean... I took a cruise in April on the Ruby.  This was an 80s themed cruise, which I hoped meant that we didn't have time for diversions like the Voice of the Ocean.  But initially VOO was on the schedule for two nights. 🤬  But it got straightened out by the time we embarked and we didn't have anything for Voice of the Ocean AFAIK.
