Jewellry for Medallion

Hi

We are cruising on Sky Princess in October. We are from the UK & don't get our medallions till embarkation in Southampton.

Has anyone purchased any jewelry to hold their medallion, other than from Princess?

If so where did you find it? We are trying to find a nice bracelet for the evening. I know Princess have them onboard but they seem quite pricey in my opinion.

Also can anyone confirm the actual size in mm of the medallion.

Thank you

The Ocean Medallion is 30 mm diameter and has a thickness at the rim of 4 mm.  They are not actually a flat disc like a coin but slightly convex so the thickness at the middle is nearer to 6 mm.  Note that they are magnetic and when placed into certain Princess supplied holders they seem to fly in.  The disc needs to be removed to purchase chips (at the casino).

Regards John..

I got a couple of cute bracelets from Jilzarah to match different outfits.

You can get them from Amazon or the Jilzarah website.

The plastic containers the Medallion comes in connect to the keychain.

I wanted one of the silver bracelets ($40.00US) for my Medallion but the small was to tight for comfort and the large was down around my fingers (they only had two sizes). I ended up with the silver clip on which worked fine. Im going to get something from Etsy for our Sun cruise.

I bought this holder from Amazon, bought a 30” chain from Walmart for $5 on clearance.

I just ordered the very same thing only in the silver color!  I also ordered a 30" Sterling Silver chain on Etsy (I have a nickel allergy)!
I also ordered this one:

Many people have posted that they bought air tag holders from Amazon. Some fit better than others. Of course, you can always wait until you get on board so that you can really "see" what you're getting (but more limited choices.)

I wish I could...none of the ones onboard are nickel free, can't wear them.

AirTag holders will work with the Medallion.  I purchase jewelry from Amazon and Etsy.  Good luck!

I have been scouring Amazon and Esty for an hour.  I love this pendant as it can be used without the medallion, too, however I see in a lot of the reviews that the medal interferes with the medallion.  Has anyone confirmed being able to use this onboard?

After much searching for a bracelet to hold my medallion, found this on Etsy (I too thought the prices for the bracelet and necklaces on board were a tad exorbitant and I didn't much care for the styles).  I'm more of a bracelet person.  Same size as an air tag holder, which matches the measurements for the medallion.  I certainly found a few on both Amazon and Etsy, so it is worth looking.  Someone on a YouTube review had purchased a very similar one and reported no problems on board regarding 'interference'.  I imagine, though I'm no techy, that if it doesn't interfere with an air tags function, then it shouldn't interfere with a medallion.  They both operate off wifi/internet.  I also purchased air tag type holders for DH.  Good luck.

What does the accessory you get with Premier look like?

Go to the Princess website, scroll down, click on link ‘Learn how to save over 50%’ , scroll down and it will show the clip accessory that comes with the Premier pkg, but the one currently being provided is a solid Royal Blue color, not striped like the picture. This Blue color is exclusive to Premier pkg. They sell other colors on the ship for $6. It is plastic/resin?

snwg - the seller on Etsy is as follows,  WeCharmYourCharm (2901394648)

though when I purchased back in May, from memory, this was her last gold one.  She may have more now, I believe she had some silver ones. She is based in Arizona.  Great seller.  Was prompt with delivery and a pleasure to buy from.

If you search lockets/charms you will find other similar ones if this seller doesn't have any more stock.

Hopefully this helps you (and perhaps others too?)

Cheers

snwg - Just some further information for you....if you search, in either Etsy or on Amazon with key words -  "Floating locket bracelet" to hold charms or air tag, you will find literally 100's.  So many different styles in various materials.  If you are more keen on a necklace, then substitute the 'bracelet' part of the search.  You need to ensure it is a 30mm diameter one as that is the size required for the medallion.  I've sized it up against the air tag holders and it is the same diameter.   Pandora have also recently released a version too,  if you prefer a known 'brand name'.  😉

Happy hunting.

Thank you SO much for this.  I found then, however tripped over a (unfair IMHO) negative review from a customer who bought a 30mm diameter and flamed a seller because her medallion didn't fit.  Evidently, you need 30mm on the interior.  I will try your seller and let you know.   Thank you so much!

Very helpful information.  Thank you so much.  I bought the bracelet from Princess last time and it was nice, but a little snug on my wrist, so I am looking for other options.  Thanks again!
