Does the shareholder OBC always get split between the passengers in the cabin?

Mine is showing half to me and half to my cabin mate on the amenity confirmation.

Mine shows the same - 50% to me and 50% to my cabin mate.

This is the default,  I recently found out that you make a note on the request form to have it applied only to your account.  I did that for the first time for my October trip that I’m doing with a friend.  It shows as a purchased OBC for me, as opposed to a straight OBC split between us.  I don’t know if it can be done after the fact.

Thank you, I didn't think about that at the time.

Odd - ours defaulted 100% to my husband. The room is booked with me as the primary guest and both names are on the account holding the stoc,k although his name shows first on that joint account.

Won't matter in the end (what's his is mine!!!).. but odd how it was assigned for us.

Yeah.  I’ve been in the same situation many times because I travel with a friend often.  I didn’t know it was an option.  But we’ve always worked it out amongst ourselves.  No big deal, but definitely more hassle and sometimes awkward discussions.  (Uh, that’s my credit you’re spending!”  😂

So you need to have a 90 day old statement? I’ve been keeping an eye on the stock price to see if it drops enough for me to bite because I have two cruises coming up, but the first of these is in less than 90 days. The form doesn’t say anything about 90 days. Did you find this info elsewhere?

I've never sent in a 90-day-old statement, I've always sent the current month statement and never had an issue either with NCL or Oceania.

I also am shocked that people are still scanning and printing documents in 2023. 🤦🏻‍♀️ The form is absolutely 100% able to be electronically filled out and emailed (as others have pointed out!)

Unfortunately if I try to book excursions in advance, it only wants credit card payment.  It won't let me use OBC.

You have to wait until you're onboard if you want to use OBC.  Of course, you risk the excursion you want being sold out

Very happy to report that I was able to download the form using the link provided earlier in this thread (pdf version) and then complete and sign the form electronically.  I then submitted the form with my trade/purchase confirmation for 100 shares via email.  I immediately received a confirmation that the email was received and asked for my patience while processing (and to please not duplicate my submission).  Within 48 hours I received a confirmation that $250 OBC (15 day cruise) has been applied to my reservation.  I signed into my account and was able to verify the credit has already been applied for my December 4th cruise.  Thank you all for your help in making this SO EASY!

I found out something interesting with the stockholder OBC. So, we all know that it's non-refundable OBC that can only be used once on board and not for Cruisenext, gratuities and casino.

There was an excursion I wanted to do and waited until I got on board to try to book it. On Embarkation Day, it was full, but when I checked the next day, 2 spots had opened up. The $69 for the excursion was taken from my $100 shareholder OBC. I went on the excursion. After the excursion, the $50 Shorex free at sea credit was given to my account.

The $50 was refundable OBC.

NCL laundered my shareholder OBC.

I could use it for CruiseNext. And did.
