Hotels in Rotterdam

Recommended Posts

Just recently stayed at the Hotel New York and recommend the property.  It is less than a 5 minute walk to the cruise terminal. The staff is wonderful.  And the hotel is unique.  It has preserved some of the history making it a very interesting place to stay.  There is a water taxi stop right at the hotel making it very easy and inexpnsive to get to other areas of Rotterdam.  It is also within walking distance of a grocery store and lots of restaurants.

We have a booking at Hotel New York for next May. Thank you for the reassurance that it's a great hotel!

For AMS, we can recommend the Hilton.   The rooms at the Hilton were nice, spacious and ours was uniquely shaped.  The bathroom was huge!   We stayed in a King Deluxe Corner room.  The hotel also had a very nice lobby with bar and a good restaurant.  We had dinner there on our last night in Amsterdam.  Before heading to the hotel, we stopped in the airport and picked out a few pastries from a vendor, plus a bottle of OJ for our breakfast the next morning before our flight.  Took about a 15 minute walk from our room to the airport, all inside a wide, bright, and completely covered walkway.

We've stayed at the Inntel Hotel in Rotterdam a couple of times. Once we took a tram over to the cruise terminal, another time we walked over the bridge. It's been a few years, so read recent reviews, so I don't have vivid memories due to staying there just one night each after an international flight, but I do recall we had enjoyable stays and were comfortable with no complaints (and returned a second time).

Agree that the Hilton at Schiphol is very convenient when flying out of AMS (we also stayed there upon arrival last time prior to our cruise that sailed from AMS). Loved our stays there.

and another choice would be Hotel New York or NHow hotel, both next to the cruise terminal. New York Hotel was once headoffice f HAL.

If staying in Rotterdam what hotels would you recommend that isn't to far from the cruise terminal. Also is there a hotel at the Amsterdam airport that you would recommend?

Next to the cruise terminal are Hotel New York and Nhow Hotel. Sheraton and Hilton are both at Schiphol airport and plenty of others with a shuttle.

Another vote for the SS Rotterdam, this is a one off experience, the Hotel New York is a close second as you are next to the cruise terminal.

We have the SS booked for next April!  Can't wait.
