Best to keep your counsel on this (ie. BE QUIET) and not broadcast it! It's one of the few things that has not been taken away from us --- yet. Would like to keep it that way! Not one of the things to be discussed on a forum monitored by Princess.
Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted November 2, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 2, 2023 They know that it takes place. As long as *you* (the person wanting to cash out) do not publicize it and keep it rather small scale you shouldn't have any trouble.

On our last voyage the casino hosts caught on to this and MANY guests accounts were frozen for violating the rules of their OBC. This was on Discovery about a month ago. 2
skynight Posted November 2, 2023 #7 Share Posted November 2, 2023 Not directly. If it is non-refundable it's use it or lose it. If it is refundable then you will receive a check in the mail about 6 weeks or so after you disembark. The check arrives in a plain envelope from a 3rd party and looks a lot like junk mail. Not certain but I have read that if you have $25 or less of refundable OBC that can be cashed out at Passenger Services.

Not so much with craps and other table games. I usually play craps. Way better odds than slots. You win or lose quickly.

Hard to do that on table games

Hard to do that on table games True. But it's way more fun and you are playing with house money. Of course you have to start with at least $100, usually more. They have $100 OBC play 2 $2 spins and cash the rest. They are the ones who get there medallions frozen
Rare Ombud Posted November 2, 2023 #12 Share Posted November 2, 2023 👋I had mine frozen once.👋 Ran Slot Pull without informing casino that morning (had informed Casino Mgr previous evening). Cashed out, distributed funds, oops.... locked out until Casino Mgr got on duty. Now I let cashier know what's what before slot pull
Bgwest Posted November 3, 2023 #13 Share Posted November 3, 2023 One would think that some people darn well ought to know better. But no. SMH

Yes, happened to me at the start of this year. Not having sent or received a cheque in years, it took me a few seconds to realise what it was. If the OBC is non-refundable use it in the shop on something like batteries that you can use over time.
CaptainPedantic Posted November 3, 2023 #15 Share Posted November 3, 2023 UK-based passengers are now advised to "cash out" at reception before disembarking, since due to GDPR concerns our credit card details are immediately removed once we've left. Now it’s time for me to shut the heck up and follow my own advice.

This was our experience in August this year, so, it's current. Up to $25 in cash at Passenger Services, I did have to go to the Elite lounge the night before and have a Boulevardier to bring the amount under $25. Those are really good BTW. Like a Negroni but with rye whiskey instead of gin.
