St. Thomas was pretty at sailaway.  Last night was my overdue give-back night in the casino.  Dropped $300 but still up for the cruise. Sushi was pretty good but back home it's better. Closed the casino down around 3am after too many Old Fashioneds, so slept too late today to go to the France side of St. Martin.

What's the process with that --- slot winnings over $1,199 get the W2-G? Does Carnival automatically take a % out, or is that only if you don't cough up your SS# ?

Tom

Yes, you get the W2-G, and they do not automatically take out Federal Tax. I have read that if you don't provide your SS they will take taxes out, but have no actual experience with that part.

New comedians boarded at St. Martin. This guy was really good.  Will C, the other new comedian, ok. Too many jokes about marginalized and handicapped people that didn't sit right with me. And I love Dave Chappelle so that's saying something.  Chappelle from my hometown!

Give those bananas a few more days and my grandma (God rest her soul) would make the world's best banana bread ever known to mankind out of them.

Give them a week and they'll sprout legs and walk away.  Quite the science experiment Carnival.

I don't think I ever noticed "norlander bread" on the breakfast menu before.

a German-inspired rye bread with sunflower seeds and nuts. … They had a plain version, and one with raisins and candied orange rind.

What is Nordlander?

Nordlander is a Swedish family originating from the village of Norrland, Bjärtrå in Ångermanland, Sweden. … Subsequently, his sons Erik Nordlander (1723–1782) and Nils Nordlander (1726–1775) assumed the family name in accordance with that of the estate and its village.

Sounds yummy!!

Got a free Steakhouse dinner for 2 from casino.  Invited Jerry (the previously mentioned character with purple mohawk). It should be fun. Jerry turned me on to 3 great apps that match your Carnival status or casino invitation to competition.  I already received a few offers for free cruises from other lines. Urcomped is one of them. Also got invited to a galley tour but skipped it because I did chef's table before.
