Did you steal the tray so you could put your European cans of coke zero on them?

I see the waffle place hasn't quite matched US superiority with a place that came up with 31 flavors of ice cream.

@mking8288I've been accused of waffling a time or two. However, I really need to get to Belgium to do some serious waffling. Those waffles look fantastic...

You'll want to seek out the stroopwafels.  I did see McDs had a stroopwafel coffee but not sure if in US.

Got some at Costco a couple years ago.  Kids not interested.

Day 15, last day before disembarking and the pool deck is open but not busy, maybe some are still in Paris or on their way back.  Galaxy Pavilion is open too.

Niece's pre-order for today's MDR came out good as it should, with her multiple food allergies.  She'll know better to eat only in the buffet in the future, whether it's NCL again ( Platinum ) after this cruise or back to Princess and Royal Caribbean.

Did the knife with the salad just come out of the dishwasher?

For the party girl, I see all these tea bags up on the OL this afternoon and the hogs aren’t stalking the loungers

I have never been called party girl before 😂

Thank you for the heads up. Unfortunately, mint tea has become as illusive as cookies. Might have to pick up a stash in Southampton before I board the Escape in Trieste.

Showing my age🥰

In 1985 I was in Brugge as a student ..spending the summer in Strasbourg studying French

Bought 2 small copper plate etchings on paper..framed. 1 colored, 1 plain…as well as some bobbin lace trimmed placemats and napkins.

Whats notable to me is that I am comparatively young and don’t hear folks talk about buying original art or handcrafts in European ports now.

guess I was that weird kid.

I still own those items

I have German tagged Christmas ornaments,a  French Bacarrat decanter, all thing I bought with baby sitting money saved up and used on that trip.

And more then 40 years later still have those things.

Point being.….…...I hope you all find treasures whether as memories of events, meals or pieces to pass on from our sailing.

Fog

Glad you have good memories of the times.

I was in Zeebrugge late 80's and recall buying stroopwafels and the canals then watching Miami Vice with English subtitles late in the day.

Oh, and the same trip being able to drive on German autobahn.....in a dinky Opel.

Check out my thought

MSC Yacht Club Loyalist Tries Haven thred

No, not on.  I believe I saw that.  We've sailed MSC like ten times, all YC, between Divinia, Seaside, and Mera.  Last trip last October.  Nothing booked this year.

It's 75 deg F today here and sunny, feels rather hot.   French businesses open briefly in the mid to late morning, then close from 12 to 12:15 for 2 hour lunch, then reopen ... some restaurants only open for 2 to 3 hours in the early evening.  Ditto for the shops, we basically looked around near Hotel De Ville & dropped plans to see the St. Joseph Church, worked our way to lunch.

More scenic photos, stopped by a local pharmacy and yes, checked out shoes ... with 20% VAT - took a pass & moved on.

@The P The 3 ladies did looked but no deal.  PXL_20240511_120723226.thumb.jpg.b4666e16e91f578b8c48a3e70531cd7e.jpg

I see some red shoes in the window that look tempting but that would depend upon the price. When I travel I like to treat myself to something to wear that reminds me after of the trip if I can find something different. All in all, you've had a wonderful cruise and you won't need shoes to remember it!

Starbucks up the block, not our cup of tea ... after a tall cup of fruity bubble tea, we decided to call it & started to work out way back to the ship.

Prima's gangway angle is rather steep ... there's supposed to be gangway on Deck 4, but not used once on this TA.

Not, I say, not easy for seniors and anyone with access or mobility challenges to climb that 25+ degree ramp.

Our TA I thought it was very odd why we had such steep and high spot to exit ship.  It was by the bar, forgot name, deck six.  Do they have other, lower options?

Where was that on the Prima? I definitely did not see it this summer, and i am sure I would have remembered that.

Belvedere Bar, not far from Haven private entrance.  There is a gangway / tender dock platform on Deck 4 but it has not been put to use.

I'm sure you have heard by now that the Prima's lifeboats are not certified for tendering. I guess the Prima could tender passengers if the port provides tender boats.

Last summer every port stop in Isafjordur was cancelled as the new dock was not finished and the ship would not tender passengers.

On time sailaway @ 22:00 - Anthem of the Seas also departing in front of us.

Our bags tagged & tracked, photographed & will see them in the morning on the pier.  Paragon Taxi reconfirmed our side tour before taking us to LGW for our Norse non-stop to JFK in the evening.

@ontheweb I refer to the tender dock in questioning whether Prima can use Deck 4 instead of Deck 6 for the much steeper gangway setup, not tendering ... yes, know about the lifeboats onboard aren't approved for tendering.

It's in reply to dex's comment & how I watch many struggled with that steep incline, down & up - imagine your parents or grandparents with mobility or joints issues.

The Prima ship model is on Deck 17 Fwd just before the GP and or OL, behind the elevators.  Regards 😎

Good Afternoon Prima just wanted to say a big thank you to @mking8288 @Sugar Magnolia @Fogfog and so many other CCers for making this an enjoyable read. Taking time away from your normal cruise activities and sharing not only your photos, commentary, and humor made this a great " Live ".

The weather in London looks great for those who are flying home tomorrow.

Safe travels to all,

Jim

@JIMESOPUS you and countless other CCers inspired and encouraged me to share and post on this forum. I won’t list names for fear that I will inadvertently leave out one or two names, but they know who they are…all of whom made appearances on this hot thread.

Special thanks to @mking8288 for tolerating my brand of crazy. I wish there were more opportunities for us to gather.

I just completed the very sad task of packing and preparing for tomorrow’s disembarkation. I am finally exhausted from the last few port days and late nights. Don’t know how I will muster the energy for the Escape in a few days on a super port intensive sailing.
