You wont get noise from the bathroom. an extended balcony is much better then a regular balcony.

Can people look over into your balcony-- yes you are only seperated by a divider so the person standing at the rail can see into your balcony.

Also there are cameras that can see into each balcony.

5130 sits ontop of the lounge area--not the bathroom. Most shows are done in there way before midnight.

Here is a picture -- you can see where the indents are of the ship- where the cabins sit back from other cabins-- as you can see the cabins on those corners can see into the indented balconies

Thank you so much for the pictures ~ very nice of you! I have kids so a few night we'd be in around 10:00pm. Have you ever heard of anyone staying in this location on the Miracle? I wish I could find info for sure on it. It's the last extended balcony cabin for 4 avaiable! Also the TA is the one that mentioned the room looks to be above the bathrooms, not the actual show lounge, what do you think?

This is my families first cruise. We are sailing on the Celebrity Solstice in June. We have cabins 8244 and 8246. Are these good rooms? I'm not too sure about motion sickness so I tried to get the middle of the ship just in case. Any thoughts???

Look at the location of the forward elevators. 5130 is just forward of the elevators. Then look at Main deck. I agree that you will probably be over the restrooms, not the lounge.

Be aware that there may be more motion in 5130 than 7194 even though Verandah deck is higher. There is more motion further forward.

Soundproofing is very good on this ship.

Just depends on where you want to be located. And if there's a big price differential. The extended balcony is nice, but it isn't that huge!

And I personally don't know if I'd want to be in that last cabin, just before the "bump in" as I like to stand at the rail. Everyone further back would see me, and if I look aft, I'd see everyone on their baloncy in those 8B cabins.

A lot of posts state to never book a room under a public area. To always book rooms in between other cabins. With that in mind, I just checked and realized my two rooms (Sensation U70 and connecting U68) are directly under the Empress Level Grand Atrium. I checked and cabins U115 and U117 are still available, but I originally didn't book those because they were right directly across from the elevators and staircase. Would U115/U117 rooms still be quieter/better than U70/U68 since it's under the Empress Grand Atrium?? I booked under the Super Saver so I'll have to pay $50 to change but I'd rather do that than have a noisy room. Which would be better for noise?? Thanks for the advice!!

Usually under a fully carpeted area is not noisy. The noisy areas are under the pool area where the floors are wood, so there is no insulation of the noise. That being said we adjoined a elevator, next to it last cruise and never heard a peep. The elevator faced the other way so we were not bothered by sound at all.

Does anyone have any experience with this room or nearby rooms? Is the pool above loud?

There have been several threads about Spirit-class cabins on Panorama Deck.

Again, look at the deck plans. It appears this cabin is right under the aft pool area.

Personally, I would NOT want to be there. It probably isn't as bad as being under the main pool (midship), but there are still deck chairs there that get dragged around. And there are tables and chairs by the bar there (my favorite place on Miracle was back by the aft pool bar where I'd sit and read).

Further forward, under the buffet would probably be quieter.

This is a wonderful thread, but I wish it were broken down by cruiseline, Princess, Carnival, Royal Caribbean etc. I don't have time to go through all these posts.

Just a suggestion.

Forgive for maybe being a bit stupid but what would I do exactly to find out about my cabin?

Thanks, Debbie

I haven't read all the posts, so forgive me if you've already posted the name of the ship & cabin number already.

To start I would google that info (name of ship, cabin number) and see what you come up with. Then post the question here, entering that specific info into the title of the question.

If you google the ship and cabin number and come up empty---more then likly there is no information available on the net. Change ship name to others in its class to see if you get any information. You also want to look at the whole section of cabin numbers-- if you are in a general vacinty more then likely it will be the same in your cabin

Cabin 1030 appears to be under either casino or the disco. I am so disappointed in this "upgrade". Please, please.....will I be sleep deprived the entire cruise????????? How noisy will this nightclub be after midnight? What are the best earplugs you can purchase? I am a very light sleeper and should have known better than to book a guarantee.

I worked night shift for years, often having to deal with ongoing construction & remodeling noise right across the street, barking dogs, etc. The highest decibel rating on earplugs I've found is 31 or 32, you can find the decibel rating listed on the box before you buy them. I also invested in a sound machine. Some of my colleagues just turn the tv on to a static station for the white noise.

Good luck, I hope you still enjoy your cruise.

We are booked on the Carnival Splendor in ocean view room 2348. Thought it looked good, right smack dab in the center of the ship, 220 sq ft room. Now I am concerned with noise from the Black Pearl Dining Room. Anyone ever stay below a dining room and have problems?
