Fine, I'll Try a Small Ship - Live GRANDEUR Review (July 2, 2016)

There may be a very small number of JS staterooms with walk-in closets, usually aft, but the vast majority don't have walk-in closets.

The 2 corner aft JSs on deck 7 on the Grandeur, are the only JS with WICs. They are to die for. Had one in December and will probably be the only time I will ever have one again.:(

They did have an Ultimate Texas Holdem table. I'm not sure how many Three Card tables they had.

I didn't play it, but I can only recall one 3-Card Table in the casino from passing it. There was usually at least one seat available though.

Thanks for your review. My first cruise was on the Grandeur. I have cruised on her several times & am sailing again on her in November 2017. The funny thing, though, is that that cruise is not appearing on any of the TA's listings. Mine found it on the RCI website. I love the itinerary though.

I'm trying the Oasis in September (with friend) & March (with DH).

Not sure how we got so lucky but several weeks ago we were able to trade out our mid-ship junior suite cabin for a corner aft junior suite on the Grandeur to Canada/New England August 4 sailing. Now we are even more excited after reading your post!!!

I hated the Grandeur so much that I just booked the same trip for July 8, 2017. What are the odds that there is a roll call already started for this trip?

We booked this cruise to coincide with a cross country and back driving trip. It will be a chance to see sights we have never seen before.

It sounds like I can stay at the Best Western, park my car for the cruise and use their free shuttle. If that is the case it will make it very convenient.

Cruise Maryland gets an A+ from me. We arrived at 10:50 AM and were on the pool deck by 11:10.

 

Any sign of the repairs to the gangway?

It will sometimes next year before new gangway is in place. The accident has still being investigated

I love Cruise Maryland. Like I said in the review, it wouldn't even matter to me if they never replaced the gangway.

They have two 3-card tables but only open one unless it's really busy. I was on Grandeur two weeks ago and when I told them how great it was that they had two tables, they told me that they haven't needed to open the second table for several weeks.

I spend a lot of time playing 3-card and Ultimate Texas Holdem and the dealers on Grandeur were absolutely fabulous.

Kids do not realize what they are missing in the janitor's closet. Although, I have heard rumors of the bridge wings increasing in popularity...must be the star viewing that the location affords.

Cannot believe I did not see this review until today. I love reading reviews...especially from the "regulars" here. It took me two hours to read, but this was one of the most entertaining reviews I have ever read. Love that you turned even the "not so good" into positives and made it funny.
