Lido balcony's

Got my first Lido balcony on Breeze and it would be tough to leave! Have one on Liberty. I did not find it loud. When there are deck parties they close the hallway doors. There is less foot traffic on this deck as only those who have the limited number of cabins use these hallways. This time I have one at the end of the hall with only a neighbor on one side.... so convenient to the Lido restaurants. Pop out get breakfast bring it back to your balcony I love it!

Are lido balcony's any good? Is it too loud? There seems to be obvious perks to being on lido but is it really where you may want to be?

ABSOLUTELY!

We had an ocean view cabin on our first cruise back in 2000. We were upgraded to a balcony cabin on our second and booked Panorama Deck on our third. We booked the Lido Deck for our fourth and have not left it since. (Except on Miracle, Pride, and Legend.)

We love being so close to the action. It's an easy walk to the cabin for those forgotten items. It's great to grab breakfast from the buffet and bring it back to enjoy on the balcony.

We have never heard any noise from the Lido Deck, even though we book mid-ship cabins and are pretty close to the doors leading outside.

Our first choice of cabin is Lido deck Port side. Anything else is because we waited too late to book. Lido is quiet (Spa is even more quiet) and close to the action. You will not have a problem on Lido.

They are the BEST!!!!!

We just booked our 2nd Lido Balcony on the Breeze, for July.:D:D

VERY VERY quiet.....and oh so convenient to the food, coffee, drinks, etc.

We are a family of 3, so the Dream class is the only one that has cabins for 3 on the Lido.

Tried booking Liberty and Freedom, and they don't have cabins for 3 people.

But, we LOVE the Breeze and are THRILLED to be getting back on her:D

Had a balcony on lido on freedom twice the first time a disaster to the point I look at the floor plans before I book but we were front near an utility closet the night time wasn't a problem but in the morning 5 am they starting cleaning and never stopped kept banging my door all morning long. Second time delightful my husband would get food all times of the day and night and would sit and eat it we really enjoyed it.

DW and I love the Lido deck. She specifically likes starboard side balcony right by the glass elevators. Her rational is that way we get maximum exposure for our door decorations.

I like because we are already near we want to be. Secondly we are close to our room incase we need a liquor refill. Third, everyone is coming UP to the Lido (based on population seperation). What that means for us is that we never have to wait too long for an elevator going down.

Although on our next cruise we are doing Panorama deck because we hang out by the Coney Island pool so much. Idk why we hang out by the small pool but we just do.

Another YES vote for Lido cabin. So close to my morning coffee ;)

We are on a bit of a budget for next year so booked inside on Lido but that was more important to us than having a balcony. I figure the entire Lido can be my balcony!

I'm so glad to hear this. I'm booked on lido deck starboard side room 9293. Our PvP said this was the best deck and we would love it. Yay

Now you guys have me thinking about booking the Lido for our balcony cabin in 2015 insted of Empress. Couple of questions....

What category is a balcony on the Lido? What are the chances of getting price drops for a Lido balcony vs an Empress balcony (mind you we are over a year out)? When you are on your balcony can you hear the music from the DJ? Any minus' at all??

Thanks all for giving me something else to consider for our cruise next year. Now I have more decisions to make! :D

We could hear some faint music from the Lido deck during sail away but other wise you couldn't hear anything. When we book forward on the Lido deck, it's an 8D. This time we booked midship lido and it's an 8E?? The Feb 2014 cruise we ended up with about $450 in OBC. Most of it came from the casino offer. The Victory cruise in 2009 we ended up with $460 OBC. Book early and book early saver and keep watching the rates.

What is a casino offer? Is that while you are on ship or before you sail? We did book early saver and they told us to book lido it is the best. Our category is 8E. How long after you booked early saver did you get a price drop? Was it closer to the cruise?

Our PVP told us to book lido. Our category is 8E and that was with they free 4 category upgrade special during early saver. He said the lido deck is the most popular because its on the main floor everybody wants to be on and there should be less foot traffic by our rooms because most people will use the middle elevator instead of the front of the ship.
