New York to Southampton 29th October 15

There are some great deals currently on the jazz cruise, both as a TA and as a round trip from New York. We'd be tempted if not for our fairly full schedule currently.

Wish I could find them here in the UK...:(

I'm seeing £749.00 listed on Cunard's UK web site as the saver fare for a BZ balcony stateroom on the October 29, 2015 eastbound crossing and that apparently includes flights and transfers. That's comparable to what I am seeing for fares on a BZ balcony stateroom here in the U.S. (and that does not include flights or transfers). Insides are listed for a lot more (£1,299.00) on Cunard's UK web site. That is not as good a deal as the fares for insides here in the U.S. which are less than the balcony fares (as one would normally expect). Go figure!

Regards,

John.

Are these prices per cabin, or per person? Thanks.

I think £799 per person in an inside cabin for 2 people for 14nts on QM2 is a fantastic price so to expect it be for the price of the cabin is expecting a little too much.

29th October 2015 Natalie Cole and Blue Note Transatlantic Crossing

For the return Crossing on M525C and M526 The Advertisement reads 1 Formal rest Denim with no holes or torn with Jacket allowed

Wonder if its error or the usual 3/4 formal nights will happen ?

We have been discussing this dress code issue on the roll call thread for voyage M526.

If one goes through the first few steps of the booking process for voyage M526, one is presented with this special note that must be acknowledged before proceeding.

While we will maintain most of the traditional Cunard experience and activities, PLEASE NOTE that the dress code for this sailing has been modified to include one "Formal" night and six "Smart Casual" nights where jackets are required but may be worn with denim pants.

And as you have noted, the page describing the "Blue Note Jazz at Sea 29 October 2015 Transatlantic Crossing" on the Cunard web site states

• One formal night with smart casual dress for all other evenings (jackets required, denim pants permitted but cannot be torn or have holes in them)

However, Voyage Personaliser for this voyage states that the dress code will be four formal evenings and three informal evenings. The dress code schedule on ask.cunard.com also shows four formal evenings and three informal evenings for voyage M526 as does the Pre-Voyage Documentation from Cunard which I recently received in the mail.

One of the members on our roll call has reported receiving two different answers from phone calls to Cunard customer service asking about the dress code for this voyage. This question has also been discussed on Cunard's facebook page with no reply from Cunard.

I wish I could provide a better answer, but so far the dress code schedule for voyage M526 remains a mystery. As of now, we are planning on packing for the usual more formal dress code as listed in Voyage Personaliser even though that may not turn out to be the actual dress code schedule for this voyage.

Regards,

John.

Does that mean that I will have to go out and buy a pair of new blue jeans? Mine are torn and stained from changing the oil on my pickup truck and checking on the still up in the holler.............

I received this notification today. Not what I was promised when I booked this last year.

Cunard gets a failing grade for this one since the cruise docs were completely wrong as to dress code as earlier stated. If I want a dress code like this I shall choose another line.

IMPORTANT NOTICES

**Blue Note Jazz at Sea**

We look forward to welcoming you on board Queen Mary 2 for our special 'Blue Note Jazz at Sea' Transatlantic Crossing.

We would like to remind you that this crossing will operate a more relaxed dress code with one Formal night and six Informal nights (jackets

required, denim pants permitted but cannot be torn or have holes in them).

We hope you will enjoy what promises to be an entertaining crossing.

Thank you for your attention to this notification.

Apparently Cunard will be advising passengers in the next few days what the correct dress code will be when Blue Note are on board.

Now that is what I would call a 'reliable' source.

Categorically stating what you received.

Thank you for your honesty.

I can't say I'm happy with this at all. When I bought my ticket I was told 4 formal nights and the voyage personaliser reflected this.

Yesterday Cunard emailed me to "remind" me that there is only 1 formal night. Interesting use of the word "remind" as this information was not made clear to me when I booked.

In other words, they've missold this cruise to me. As others have said, had we known this, we probably would have booked a different voyage or even travelled on a different cruise line (there's a NCL transatlantic at the same time I was maybe interested in as friends of ours are on it).

I've informed Cunard of my disappointment. I'll see what they come back with.

PS: my voyage personaliser still states 4 formal nights... They need to get their act together.

And interestingly enough, Cunard has yet to pass that information on to travel agents in the UK. I just called several specialist cruise travel agents and enquired about this voyage, specifically asking how many formal nights there would be. Kind lady looked it up and said that on this particular one there would be 4. I also asked about it being a Jazz themed cruise, but she said it's only some concerts and performances and wouldn't affect anything else.
