s Zaandam in Juneau, AK - July 14, 2016

Thursday, July 14, 2016 is ms Zaandam's turn to once again make an early appearance in Juneau, AK. She is scheduled to arrive bright and early at 0800 hrs. (08:00 am), berth at the Alaska Steamship (AS) dock, and depart at 1800 hrs. (6:00 pm)

The other cruise ships in port are Celebrity Infinity which is scheduled to arrive at 0730 hrs. (departure 2000 hrs.) and go to the Juneau Cruise Terminal (CT) dock, Grand Princess, scheduled to arrive at 0800 (departure 2100) and going to the Franklin Street (FKL) dock, and Norwegian Sun scheduled to arrive at 1100 hrs. (11;00 am) and going to the Alaska Juneau (AJ) dock (departure 2100).

I have friends on the Grand Princess. I hope to be able to see her sail in to Juneau. :)

A little low hanging clouds or fog this AM. Looks pretty.

Hopefully no one will cut the cable south of us again today, and I can see the sail-in and I should be here for the sailaway 6pm/10pm. Looking forward to the double sighting.

The Zaandam snuck in this AM as I was about to leave. You just never know - it is only 6:30AM in Juneau. I plan to be here for sail away since it is early in the evening. Have a good day everyone!

Ugh!!! At least the excursions aren't set to start yet since she is so early!

When I hear foghorns, it always takes me back to my childhood. Summer camps on Lake Michigan near South Haven MI, and listening to the lighthouse's two-toned horns. Great nostalgic memories.

Whoops, missed her arrival. Not because of the fog... she is early! :)

Infinity actually got a little bit of fog lifting and we get to see the Zaandam again.

Incidentally, 3 of yesterday's Juneau ships are in Skagway. Serenity is still in the final stages of docking but I think the view will be at least as good as it is now. The Noordam's aft is visible in Serenity's port webcam.

Dang! Missed it again. :p But what a miserable day.

We saw a great townhouse yesterday. I think we will put in an offer on Saturday. Just hope we can get it, the market here is just awful for buyers.
