  1. I too am interested and really wish HAL would do more 10-14 days instead of so many over 20 days and also more r/t instead on 1 ways. I can dream I suppose
  2. it is now a requirement to use Verifly? two famous you tubers mentioned they had to do this on Noordam for NZ. I thought one could just use the HAL app or on line documents
  3. I toot toot you to have a nice trip. I would love to someday do a world cruise but I would mis my home and paying my bills on time. oh and my car. So I will follow along with your feed.
  4. I am betting that Anthem will get the noisy Playmakers in SeaPlex. But I hope they keep the nice swing bench in front part of solarium. Anthem is the only ship that has this.
  5. well put. I mean if folks spend money to cruise, then pony up for a passport and do it in plenty of time. And then lately there are stories of folks traveling with less than 6 months left on active passport. To me take care of the details and then no problems. I hope eventually all cruise lines will require a passport.
  6. yes I have booked and only gotten an email saying thanks for deposit. what I do is screen print the payment details before I submit credit card and save to a word doc so that I have the breakdown.
  7. yippee I decided to call the Captains club and she researched and said the system would know to credit back to the card. The agent was wrong but fear not the computer is smarted and will do it correctly. toodles all
  8. I tis amazing how so many companies list of exceptions is long that is just blows your mind when you need to change or cancel. No pilot hmmmm how does that work? Feel bad for this situation and all the others that makes no sense. I guess the passenger rights bill for airlines and cruise ships needs to be adjusted for NO PILOT.
  9. you are such a good cruiser for X I should have put your name on reservation. haha but nope I am USA and they told me nope to a refundable only FCC. I looked up my PDF and is says a refund within a certain time. oh well. my final was due in 17 days and well X must be hard up for money.
  10. I booked on line. Still the words refundable should be back to credit card. I have a cruise in Sept and will use the FCC for that and then so darn done with X. Imagine RCI handle things different than X. thanks for replies folks.
  11. nope live in USA and was told difference between refundable and non is the $100 fee. otherwise I get FCC. I challenged several times and she would not budge. so pissed I could spit. I just also cancelled under RCI (because I realized New Zealand trip would be around Thanksgiving) and my refundable deposit is coming back to my c card. NOPE not with Celebrity
  12. and even if booked as refundable, still you will get back just an FCC. I started thread on this. So mad right now I could spit.
  13. So I had a refundable deposit on the Beyond and today I wanted to cancel. Was told I could only get an FCC. hmmm then what even have a refundable deposit. I mean RCI which is part of RCG doesn't do this. I will have to accept the FCC and apply to a later cruise, but it does sound mean. I went to the website and honestly the way policy is worded, it is rather confusing. Again why even have a refundable deposit. To me its like you show an interest in Celebrity and put a deposit down under the tern refundable, but really that money will never get back to you if you cancel.
  14. Curious who is the captain and c director on this sailing? I had capt Rob in April who was take out captain Glad to see the ship was able to dock at Coco Cay but I bet pool was cold
  15. yes nice to hear. If a cruise ship did NOT stop, and it was reported, then they would be in trouble with maritime law.
  16. I know that feeling. I put a sign on the steering wheel of my car, about passport, credit card, phone and vaccine card. If I was to drive away without those things, I would deserve whatever happens to me for being stupid
  17. no, nope, nada, don't even try. Ships can be delayed, traffic can be heavy and why stress yourself. Always take advice from the cruise lines, and book after 11:30 am or even better 1pm. relax and people watch at the airport which in Orlando can have heavy TSA so I would never book a flight before 1pm.
  18. yes I agree. I did 6 RCI cruises this year and each one ha various small differences and or issues. Overall I do not cruise for the food as on land there are many excellent restaurants. But when on any ship, I feel that there will always be salad options, and veggies as well as usually great bread. Sometimes the main entree can be off in flavor or temp, so just tell the waiter.
  19. the best recent sale was in late Nov on a Monday where all deposits were only a dollar. they do this twice a year. Honestly if you see a room you like, put a deposit down and then if price goes down, call for an adjustment.
  20. yes I have done this and also keep in the box and perhaps put in a large plastic bag as well.
  21. i guess they could blame it on supply chain issues or the fact that folks are stealing. I actually bring my own bright orange and pink towel from home.
  22. it is the details that make a difference between a good ship and a great ship. and yes sometimes the way things are displayed in the buffet have me shaking my head.
  23. I for one am glad they give you an option. I am not an alcoholic drinker nor do I wish to use WIFI internet. Just want the ship, food, shows, and islands.
  24. now if I did not know this was a HAL thread I would swear you are describing a Carnival ship. guessing the image of HAL needs to be spread around more as a lot of folks think it is a quiet older crowd with nothing to do after 10pm. Still I hope HAL tries to separate the noise from the various venues so those who like classical music can enjoy too.
  25. sounds like a nice list to me. Good to expose the 10 year old to a variety of things. really is a lot to do on Oasis class ship including the Merri-go-round too
