  1. I saw many ladies wearing a cocktail dress most evenings; myself included. Enjoy dressing up and have a lovely time.
  2. Good to know - many thanks ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š
  3. Thank you. We're doing a Penthouse in April, we booked it mainly for the suite not necessarily for the Butler but looking forward to it nonetheless. We're low maintenance so we won't be making any excessive requests.๐Ÿ˜
  4. Is food and beverage requirements taken up with Room Service or with the Butler?
  5. Is there a short cut to the Infinity pool located at the ship's aft? Last Feb, our first time on Regent we found ourselves in the Spa area where upon asking for directions the pushy host insisted on giving us a sales pitch then directed me through the ladies' area and ushered hubby via the gents' section to then meet up on the other side. He didn't leave us alone and he was adamant this was the only way to get to the pool. Put off by this we didn't go back.
  6. Please let us know how you get on and how the 'new rules' are developing, hopefully they will have something more concrete in place by then - we're joining Splendor in April.
  7. I watched the recent programme about Splendor and ended up fast forwarding most of it - an absolute cringe-fest containing fabricated melodramatic nonsense. The constant reference to price tagging food items, ornaments, lighting, etc, was embarrassing. I would like to have seen more of the ship rather than the cheesy wooden performances of the senior staff, and the narration was toe curling.
  8. Roll on 9th April ! - ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿน๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ˜†
  9. It's a litre/liter๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜
  10. Enjoyed reading your write ups and pleased you had use of The Kettle ๐Ÿ˜. For our April Med cruise on Splendor I'm debating whether to ask for a kettle (or The Kettle) but as hubby and I are both light sleepers I'm sure that 2 or 3 in the morning I'll get elbowed in the ribs followed by "Go on, make us a cup of tea". Might be making a rod for my own back๐Ÿ™„. Look forward to seeing your review. Safe trip home ๐Ÿก
  11. Has anyone taken a Med cruise over the Easter period and noticed more children on board?
  12. Unfortunately - it's always: 'coulda, shoulda, woulda' ๐Ÿ˜†
  13. Some years ago I was on a cruise (not Regent but that's by the by) and I was leaving the ladies' room I noticed a girl who made no intention of washing up before she left. I couldn't help myself and called her out. Well, the look on her face was priceless and I felt so empowered as she went over to the sink and applied soap and water to her hands. There is absolutely NO excuse for not washing your hands in those circumstances. And, without hesitation I'd do it again.
  14. Many thanks for all your contributions - very useful and informative which is usually the way on this site. Might do Rabat or even stay on board and enjoy the ship.
  15. Hi everyone - taking a Med cruise next April, Casablanca is included in the itinerary and I've been reading posts on a well known social media site and a couple of other reviews that it's not the best place to visit - main concern being harassed and badgered in the markets and shops. I know this sort of thing is normal and to be expected but reports seem excessive and quite unsavoury even saying 'stay on the ship'. We've booked to do the 'Highlights of Casablanca' which include a visit to a market, a souk, a mosque then finishing with time by ourselves to look around the shops. I've probably answered my own question but I'd appreciate to hear any opinions positive or negative as to anybody's experience in this city.
  16. Also has the worst Premium Economy IMO - have had two bad experiences with BA. In future, I'd even go out of my way to avoid them.
  17. In February, hubby & I went on Splendor, we had tea brought to our room every morning which was very nice but the water wasn't exactly boiling hot. Next April we'll be in a Penthouse and provided with an Illi machine which before I read this thread I assumed I could just swap for a kettle. We've had kettles on other cruise lines so I don't see what is the difference. Anyway, I'll be packing my favourite Y teabags and politely ask for scalding hot water for my morning cuppa ๐Ÿ™‚
  18. I don't profess or pretend to know anything about wine or its regions but I do know what I like and what I don't. If others wish to have recommendations, fine - I only want a wine list, how hard can it be?
  19. We took our first cruise with Regent in February and I can totally empathise with you regarding the non existent wine list. Being shown a red and a white at your table then expecting to choose either didn't demonstrate a luxury cruise line experience. Trying to pin down what wines were available made us feel uncomfortable as if we should just drink what was put in front of us, and in our opinion was often an inferior drop. Overall I couldn't fault anything else, it was superb but for our next cruise in April I'm wondering how we can tackle this issue at the beginning to avoid this awkwardness.
  20. Interesting to read your post, we did Splendor in February (first time in a Superior - loved it). Will be treating ourselves to a Penthouse in April, not necessarily for the Butler experience but nonetheless looking forward to it. Can I ask what you particularly liked about it and what you engaged him/her for? Also, when do you know to ring for Room Service or ring your Butler? First world problems, I know!๐Ÿ™„
  21. Must admit I was confused; some cruise lines have their own way of phrasing it and I've been looking on CC for different interpretations. I've had the two jabs and my booster was in Dec '21 - my next cruise isn't until April '23 so I nearly had heart failure when I read jipsy's post. Thanks folks for clarifying๐Ÿ‘
  22. Yes, with Cunard, a few years ago - a disgraceful and invasive practice!
