  1. Off topic question.....is Calico Jack's back at Port in Bermuda ?
  2. The question of who gets what, has been debated endlessly on CC, I just tip those who provide service personally, this way I know they are covered.
  3. I would throw down $5 for the tip regardless of gratuity increases. Boss Lady claims I throw too much $$ around when tipping, every other drink order at the Bar, and if served to us sitting pool side, yep, every time, these people IMO, work thier butts off, crazy hours, I'm not sure who gets what, but if I personally hand them some $$, I feel I've done my part......thats just the way I am.
  4. All I can say is Syd Normans Pour House is a must, even if you need to get in line 45 minutes before they open, we did twice.
  5. Although we have had second thoughts on staying with our May 7th sailing, partly due to time of year, as uneamie stated, weather may not be favorable, last trip to Bermuda was the Escape June of 2018, perfect, but wanted to experience a new ship. We were concerned about the smaller pool, and realize that there are also two infinity pools that will likely be crowded also, they look a little bigger than Hot Tubs. All in all, we are cruising, and it may not be perfect, but you can bet we are gonna have a blast, people make the party, we just gotta find those people
  6. We are booked for the May7th sailing, have been having second thoughts ourselves but are moving forward and will be boarding. Could it be that the Prima being different is what is causing some of the negative reviews ?......if you've been on a few NCL ships, they all seem to have a familiar layout ship to ship, with the Prima being all new, regular NCL cruisers could be frustrated with venues in different areas than what they have been accustomed too......just a thought.
  7. I'm not sure about free at the bars, but we always have complementary bottle from NCL in our cabin
  8. I agree with Silver Cove being the best choice. I'm not sure if the standard Cabana has A/C, I do know the Silver Cove Ocean Villas do, and with an infant, and elderly, it would come in handy to have a place to cool off. Our experience was that it was less crowded, and a lot quieter.
  9. It seems like NCL is increasing prices on whatever they can. This is probably industry wide, we just sail NCL. We are doing an All Inclusive to Aruba a week before our next sailing to compare the experience and cost of both, and decide which way to travel in the future.
  10. Thanks, I thought it was complimentary for special guest cruises....Travel agents and such.
  11. I thought Simon was Prima's Cruise Director ?.....maybe onboard for our May 2023 sailing ?
  12. Oh believe me, Boss Lady has me checking our account daily to be sure we are on track and not putting too much on the card, which gets paid as soon as we get home. We also bring in the neighborhood of $300 USD in cash per day of the cruise just in case, and use what is left over to put toward the CC.
  13. I grew up in that era, Boss Lady did also, I was Disco & Motown, Boss Lady Southern Rock and Heavy Rock. For those who have seen it, rate it 1-10, 10 being "must see". If performance is good, we'll probably go.
  14. Thank you. as far as "Vocal volume", our cruise in April had kids in the next Cabin who were up early (6 am) and very noisy on the balcony next to us really putting a damper on our coffee in the morning as we sail along
  15. Awesome, Thanks👍.......this should be a sticky
  16. We prefer to be near the stairs and elevators, makes it easier to find the cabin late at night. I tried looking at the Decks above and below to try and figure what is where in relation to our cabin, any help much appreciated.
  17. Boss Lady has a special Teddy Bear ( Kelly) that has accompanied her Mom on trips, and stays in the hospital over the years, that Bear was always around. At her Moms passing, she took custody of "Kelly", and now Kelly travels with us. When we pack, Kelly will be in the backpack strapped to me, never leaves my body, would have to kill me to get that Bear.
  18. Can anyone confirm if there is a fire pit (propane) on the Prime ?. I thought I saw one of on one of the first videos.
  19. Thanks for all the suggestions. We originally planned a cruise out of Miami earlier this year, got cold feet and went out of NY, hired a limo to / from port. Wife wants the Caribbean on the Encore, so we need to go out of Miami.
  20. We are considering a sailing out of Miami, arrive at the hotel a day early, and depart a day after disembarkation. Hoping to find a hotel that offers shuttle to / from airport, and also to / from port. Any suggestions are welcome. TIA.
  21. A little off topic. I was told by an NCL rep that it's class in not "Leonardo", just "Prima" class ships....it was referred to as "Project Leonardo" during development. Makes no sense to me, I'll still call it "Leonardo" class.
