  1. Wow . For my sailings in February it is still listed at $211
  2. I have been to many of them , and never have they scanned passes . They have simply made the announcement and stress that if you are under 18 , this is not for you . Therefore found it strange . Cheers
  3. Just Curious , In 20+ years cruising , Is it your belief that everyone of those servers ( and I know the service is usually quite adequate ) ,but do you believe they all deserved absolute top scores ? ... Or are you like me and the guilt/compassion is what truly guides your score . Though I have been guilty of this in the past , I will no longer . If the service warrants a 10 it will receive a 10 , but if it doesn't I will no longer score with my heart . I believe this makes for a flawed system , and I am not falling into the trap anymore . Overall dining standards have fallen too far . Cheers
  4. Bingo I have spent too much Vacation time over my past few cruises getting dining errors fixed . You should be able to expect what you agreed to and not have to waste precious time dealing with the BS I realize I changed the subject from cleaning to dining but same concept . Cheers
  5. 100 % . I have also been cruising many years and this was the first and only time that I had heard this . It was quite unmistakable . I have always wondered what the right answer to the question was on the survey where they say "did anyone ask you for a positive review " , or something to that effect. I was always wondering if I get them in trouble if I mention it , but after hearing it over the P.A. I determined it is standard practice and now I'm wondering if they get in trouble if they don't Beg for their 10's. Cheers
  6. I'm up in the air on this one as we were leaving the windjammer and an announcement (over the loudspeaker ) comes on and asks that we give them a 10 .... If it were not acceptable , I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be a public service announcement ! ? Cheers
  7. I met my room steward as soon as rooms were opened . Asked for evening , and she asked what time would work. As we had early dining at 5:30 told her 6 PM and she said that was good. 3rd night she walks in on me pretty much in the raw at 5:10 P.M. ...Side note , she did happen to be the worst steward I have encountered in 14 sailings. Cheers
  8. MTD on Royal is a disaster . Avoid it like the plague , especially if you like to dine early (ish) JMHO Also , If you can't get it switched pre cruise be sure and head directly to dining room as soon as you board and the "should"be able to accomodate you Cheers
  9. I had this happen 3 times in a row .Bring it to everyones attention possible , including Guest services. I always ended up getting a table ( night 2 on 1 of the 3 ) . MDR is operating like a $#!t $#0w Cheers
  10. I'll never turn down a slice if lookin for a quick grab , and most are just soso but I Had a barbecue chicken pizza on Harmony last month that was fantastic !
  11. Early hasn't started at 6 for ages , (due to the fact that they have completely messed up MTD ) It is usually 5-5:30 , ocassionally as late as 5:45
  12. I'm thinking it's likely he just isn't an assertive person. You just need to keep saying "more please " and I am certain they will keep piling on . You should see me with a pasta dish and the server coming around grating fresh parmesan on my plate . They tell me to say when , and then try to stop 3 times because they can't believe how much I want . Cheers
  13. $1 000 000 000 Profit with a 24% margin doesn't seem too bad !
  14. Exactly our timeline ! ...First ship Navigator Cheers
  15. Yes , the lounge is the last thing I care about . I just hope they don't decide at any point to come after those drinks . They may really have a fight on their hands then ! Cheers...And Cheers again.. and so on
  16. We were also on Harmony last month , and I would say 5 of the 7 nights we found something appealing on the menu . That being said ,that is proof of why they need the classics . Everyone has certain tastes that will likely limit them on a 7 night cruise as to whether they are gonna find something EVERY night that they will truly enjoy . Cheers
  17. Yeah , years ago when there were recommended gratuity guidelines , there was not a line for.... "öther hotel services" ...On the fence , but leaning in a new direction
  18. I agree completely that from ROYAL's perspective it is brilliant and not a problem . Where I would say the problem is is where cruisers who have earned their perks and privileges , lose them or have them reduced or limited , due to numbers getting too high,(may or may not happen) 2 totally different perspectives .I believe Some are concerned about future reductions (that may or may not happen). Cheers
  19. IMHO , It has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with what class is booked . It has to do with principals Cheers
  20. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Thank you ..... That is so obvious , I'm growing tired hearing so many say otherwise ! Cheers
