  1. I switched itineraries and now am booked on the 2February BsAs - San Antonio Chile itin. I also am struggling with what to pack. I am going to give myself permission to way overpack for this trip…..
  2. I’ve sailed on Marina (2016), Riviera (2021) and Sirena (2023) and Regent Mariner (2022). I enjoyed all tremendously but was really impressed w Mariner over my Oceania cruises. Mariner was much more luxurious and luminous. People either love or hate Navigator, so I’ve been told.
  3. I think Regent has one or two East Africa itineraries that might interest you, although as I recall, you’re not a drinker so the all-inclusive pricing might not be to your liking. I’m also looking for East Africa itins in 2025 or 2026. My Regent gal pals want to go there, and I want to travel w them (they are fun!).
  4. There is another thread somewhere around here recently where other posters had mentioned this is also happened to their sailing. Some were not thrilled. I think this is the thread with a discussion similar to your concern.
  5. Of course, you can add Los Angeles to the “do not travel” category. 🤯
  6. Website is down? I was just about to take a picture of an itinerary that said something like “Cape Town to At Sea” LOL!
  7. Be careful w Navigator, as it has serious vibration issues. There is a sticky on this forum w reviews of specific cabins so you can check if someone has highlighted an issue with a cabin. Enjoy your cruise! PS, IIRC Navigator doesn’t have a forward observation lounge…….on some itineraries that could be a disadvantage.
  8. Don’t forget that there is a sticky thread at the top of this forum with a lot of information about Regent air. It’s a sticky for a reason, there is a lot of information there.
  9. I was told the reason is that the current low sale price is not combinable with the 0% single supplement. So, under those rules, you have to look at the higher fare to then calculate the solo price……SIGH!
  10. My issue with incorrect website pricing is because I cruise solo. Even if I input that only one passenger is sailing, I generally get a price that is twice the per person double occupancy cost. That would make sense except that I am always looking at itineraries that have a 0% single supplement or some other reduced single supplement percentage. I recently was looking at a July 25 sailing that had a wonderfully low price. Unfortunately, when I am given the 0% single supplement cost, it is much higher than the price I see on the website. It is a bit of a struggle to figure out the applicable pricing.
  11. I have never seen a solo single supplement greater than 100% (i.e., twice the pp double occupancy fare). Happy new year everyone.
  12. COVID changed many things and O is not great with communication. The information on the website is outdated IMO.
  13. Jancruz1, I am all Chicos, all the time! LOL! Since retiring from teaching, to keep my sanity btwn cruises I work at the Chicos outlet store. I spend every penny I earn at the store; my motto is, “will work for clothes!” (Actually, I have a blast and get paid to help women spend money!)
  14. Thanks for this! I love them! I want to be a “groupie” and follow them around the world… I don’t care what the itinerary is if Boogie & Kashia are playing in Stars Lounge on Mariner!
  15. That’s right, so if I’m planning on purchasing/upgrading a drinks plan, I wait until day 3. Embarkation day is shortened but you’re charged the full amount, second day is often captain’s party with open bars, so day 3 I mosey along to purchase or upgrade my drinks plan. Here’s another difference between Celebrity and O: when there is an open bar, you actually can get a drink. It was always so aggravating on celebrity. The bartenders were completely rushed off their feet and bar service was abysmal.
  16. I didn’t know O now provides wives! They must really be desperate for revenue! 😜
  17. I want to emphasize this. O does not require that both pax buy the drink package (except w OLife as explained by GrammieK) - another great benefit of sailing with O!
  18. Most O pax are not the type to give you a hard time about anything (ok, chair hoggers aside………) I think you’ll be fine. No worries! Enjoy your cruise!
  19. Lots of posts on the rollcall for the Voyager itinerary that precedes my 2 February itin. They are all commenting on difficulty/impossibility of doing the on-line Brazil visa. Well, maybe one poster was successful. I embark in BsAs so haven’t been reading those posts diligently. Good luck to all!
