  1. Solstice is only 14 years old so not at the stage of major renovation. If and when the refurb happens, the staterooms will stay the same in terms of furnishings and bathrooms. Changes will be soft furnishings, carpets etc and maybe some moveable items.
  2. The OP has made some personal observations, some of which I find a little strange and some of which I agree with. They are entitled to their opinion but not to rudeness like this.
  3. Strange, on one of our Silhouette cruises a singer had to leave the ship due to a family emergency and she at short notice put on a great one woman show to a packed theatre. Best CD that Celebrity have, hard working, engaging, a true professional.
  4. It's not acceptable given the cost of cruises. It's not a new thing - service we found reduced in recent years, frequently involved getting drinks yourself unless seated at a bar,
  5. Ex Celebrity/Pullmantur Zenith currently heading to the breakers at Alang
  6. It's been the same for several years, introduced I believe in 2016 15047638_CEL_Evening_Chic_Overview_Flyer.pdf (rccl.com)
  7. Beached at Aliaga Turkey on 28 August 2022
  8. That makes sense and there is a 2 week gap in her schedule.
  9. Reflection is only 10 years old and has not been renovated. Last maintenance dry dock was 2018 and next scheduled is 2023. She was due to be the last ship revolutionised but that presumably is up in the air.
  10. Not at all instructive, it's a personal opinion of an RCL investor full of flaws and out of date.
  11. Prediction is possible only in a world in which events are preordained and no amount of action in the present can influence future outcomes. Think about it, debts of around $26 billion, every 1% of interest rate rises costs additional $230 million to service interest alone plus increased fuel and food costs. Not a pretty picture.
  12. With the level of debt carried by RCL and rising interest rates, any return to profitability is unlikely for many years and servicing of debt will be problematical.
  13. Who knows what the Autumn variant will be like - you'll know late October/November what the requirements will be.
  14. It's free from the tap and safe to drink.
  15. On that cruise I would stick with the SV, no hesitation.
  16. Have a read here https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/658690-how-to-sterilize-bottles-for-a-baby-while-crusing/
  17. MDR open on sea days so no point.
  18. With apologies, I have no idea how that post appeared in this thread - wasn't intended
  19. Totally can't believe I am seeing this idiotic post
  20. I doubt St Petersburg will be a destination for many years to come. I was there once but wouldn't have wanted to return. Yes, the palaces and churches are spectacular but outside that it's a soulless place.
  21. They are rubbish, on our last cruise we told them to stop leaving them, eg prawns delivered and sitting for hours.
  22. Totally unacceptable from Celebrity, it's as if they know the cruise line going down is inevitable and desperately struggling for revenue at all costs with no respect for the customer.
  23. An issue for us as well. My wife had a stroke three years ago and since then cannot tolerate a lot of mixed noise and especially loud noise. Celebrity used to provide a more tranquil up market experience and noise could be avoided but this no longer appears to be the case.
