  1. that is correct
  2. At this time, you must wait to upgrade until onboard. It is quick and easy - you go to Guest Services and they will charge your onboard account and give you a new card with the Prestige package noted.

    Table for 2

Since everywhere except the specialty restaurants, meal time is open seating we have always been able to sit at a table for 2 when we desired. You may have to wait a bit if you come during the first hour of dinner in the GDR. The specially restaurants may be more difficult depending upon when you make your reservations. If you are unable to book a table for 2 when you reservations open, do not hesitate to speak with the dinner reservation person onboard to see if you can change.
  4. From what I understand, Oceania was sued for "missing items" when items were removed from an unoccupied lounger ....I am sure their legal team had told them to not touch any item that does not belong to Oceania. I can't blame them
  5. Agree with everything said except we also loved Aquamar - ate many lunch there. Liked the fact that we could customize their offerings to our liking! The avocado toast is addictive
  6. Sorry - it could only be booked onboard but it was totally booked so only being able to book onboard wasn't killing it off
  7. Barbara - our favorite loungers were outside the side doors into Barristas....in shade or sun, quick run inside to grad a bite to eat or drink from Barristas, bathrooms close and down the stars for Waves or Aquamar. But we don't need to be by the pool so doesn't work for everyone
  8. On Vista La Reserve was offered only by booking online and was full for every offering so not killing off yet...they are replacing the separate La Reserve area with Aquamar which is better use of the space
  9. There are plenty of loungers scattered around the ship on several decks - people who only want to sit by the pool in the shade then there is a problem. How do you have 1200 loungers in the shade around the pool on a ship the size of VISTA? This is the only way a cruise line can assure that everyone who wants a lounger in the shade around the pool will find one. We sat in loungers in the shade with no problem anytime we wanted but we were not by the pool which was fine with us. This is a separate issue then chair hogs...
  10. On sea days, you may enjoy your wine, beer, etc. when you leave your lounger and go to one of the dining venues to enjoy your lunch. If you prefer to be served at your lounger than you pay for any alcoholic drink you order but all non-alcoholic drinks are free and readily provided
  11. No just purchase them by the drink....the question was which mixed drinks are included in the simply more beverage package...
  12. Simply more included beverage package includes beer, wine and champagne by the glass in dining venues during meal hours. There are no mixed drinks included in the package. You need to pay $30.00 per person per day to upgrade to the prestige package that includes mixed drinks and is available from any bar during open hours. There are a few times when mixed drinks are provided free of charge - Captains Welcome Party and Repeaters/First timers party. There also are happy hours in Martinis and Horizons each evening where drinks are 2 for 1 ...
  13. 2 3/4" wide at base and 7 1/2" tall for main body before taper 2" to top
  14. We do too but manage for the time between leaving our house and stepping onboard with water supplied onboard plane and at hotel....
  15. Actually , no ..total investment per bottle was about $15.00 and they take up no room and no weight in our suitcase. We initially took one set of bottles home with us and use the cover and flip top on those at home.

  17. We usually send after final payment
  18. If you booked your cruise prior to the implementation of SM, you were given the option of keeping your booking under OLife or Cruise Only or switching to SM. There will be many people sailing onboard Oceania for the next few years that were booked under the old program.
  19. It can be confusing as some indicate cruise only (meaning no air) but when you read the fine print, you find it includes beverage package and SBC for excursions,,,which means it is Simply More with no air
  20. The room on Vista where they were talking would no longer have computers, they would only be in the Internet room next door. Presently that room has many long tables with shelves with games, etc. around the side. I believe the intended use was for private meetings by a group onboard but never saw it used for that purpose
  21. I am afraid the rep was not well informed unless this change just happened this week. There definitely are happy hours every day, a Captains Welcome party, when there were 2 hours of free drinks at most bars and the first timers and loyalty receptions. As a newbie you would be invited to the Captains Welcome party and the first timers reception. We just cruised a while ago and have friends currently sailing on 2 different Oceania ships.
  22. We bought insulated sleeves that fit over the bottles provided and also flip top straws that fit - we take those with us and use with provided onboard containers. Take very little room in suitcase and turn the containers provided into very useful water bottles. I know O should just provide in the first place but this is our very inexpensive work around....
  23. I understood that the library is being moved up to the conference/media room between the Linc (internet) room and the smoking room on Deck 14 but nothing concrete
  24. We just asked for the sewing kit - available but not automatically supplied
  25. There are many people who enjoy Ember and Aquamar (which replaced the area used by La Reserve) ..based upon the number of people enjoying Aqauamar during breakfast and lunch, it had a much higher usage than I ever saw with La Reserve. On Vista they had created several private dining areas where they held the La Reserve dinner menus (for a fee) so that option is still avaIlable.
